PYE, Nettie Olivia Sophia - 80, Ecum Secum Bridge, Halifax County, died December 16, 1992, in Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital, Sheet Harbour.

Born in Ecum Secum, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Bessie (Bezanson) Pye. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Anglican Church, Mitchell Bay, Halifax County and member of LOBA 556, Ecum Secum.

She is survived by her husband, Samuel; son, Dale, Ecum Secum; six grandchildren; a great-grandchild.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Judy; three sisters, Hannah, Melissa, Annie; four brothers, Burton, George, Nobel, John.

The body is in Ecum Secum Funeral Home, visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today. Funeral will be 3 p.m. Saturday in St. Paul's Anglican Church, Rev. Gavin Dunbar officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery.²

PYE, Samuel John Odess - 90, Ecum Secum Bridge, Halifax Co., died June 14, 1995, in Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital, Sheet Harbour.

Born at Ecum Secum Bridge, he was a son of the late John Odess and Anne Florence (Pace) Pye. He was a woodsman and truck driver most of his life until his retirement. He was a member of St. Paul's Anglican Church, Mitchell Bay, as well as a member of Royal Orange Lodge, LOL 2468, Ecum Secum.

Surviving are a son, Dale and daughter-in-law Peggy; grandsons, Dana, Matthew; granddaughters, Sherry, Susan, Dianne, Wanda; a great-granddaughter; sister, Belle Bentley, New Brunswick.

He was predeceased by his wife, the former Nettie Olivia Pye; daughter, Judith Olivia; brothers, Borden, Blair, Herbert; sisters, Janie, Clarice, Bertha, Katie, Emily.

Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Ecum Secum Funeral Home. Funeral 2 p.m. Saturday in St. Paul's Church, Mitchell Bay, Rev. Gavin Dunbar officiating. Burial to follow in church cemetery.²

RUDOLPH, Bernard Edward - 82, Little Liscomb, Guysborough Co., died February 27, 1997, at home.

Born in Liscomb, he was a son of the late Edward and Mary (Mason) Rudolph. He was a veteran of the Second World War. He was a life member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 86, Liscomb, and was a member of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Sherbrooke.

Surviving are sons, Douglas, Vancouver, B.C; Eldon, Gary, Musquodoboit Harbour; Lawrence, Liscomb; Raymond, Bedford; Grant, Dartmouth; daughters, Diane (Mrs. Gerald Smith), Gaetz Brook; Darlene (Mrs. John Burgoyne), Jeddore; Linda, Dartmouth; brother, Francis, Liscomb; 19 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife, the former Myrtle Bezanson; brothers, Donald, William; sister, Catherine.

Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Ecum Secum Funeral Home, Sherbrooke. Funeral 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Sherbrooke, Rev. Daniel Boudreau officiating. Burial to follow in church cemetery, Stillwater.⁴

BEZANSON, Jean Maude - 90, Braeside Lane, Halifax, died Wednesday, October 4, 2000, in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax.

Born in New Chester, Guysborough Co., she was a daughter of the late John Duncan and Alice May (Croft) Bezanson. She moved to Halifax in 1926, where she resided and worked most of her life. She spent many winters in St. Petersburg, Florida.

She is survived by sisters, Mary Mason, Halifax; Clara Croft, Dartmouth; Ethel (Bill) Moser and Freda (Tam) Sharpe, both of Moser River; brother, Percy (Ernesta), New Chester; many nieces and nephews. She was predececeased by sisters, Margaret, Myrtle, Florence, and Annie; brothers, Wallace, Melvin, and Chesley.

Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Friday in Snow's Funeral Home, Windsor Street, Halifax. The body will then be transferred to Ecum Secum Funeral Home, Ecum Secum, where visitations will be from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. on Saturday. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday in St. John's Anglican Church, Necum Teuch, Rev. Allen Frye officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery, Necum Teuch.⁴

MASON (Bezanson), Mary Alice F. - 89, Halifax, passed away October 22, 2001, at home.

Born in New Chester, Guysborough Co., she was a daughter of the late John Duncan and Alice May (Croft) Bezanson.

She was predeceased by her husband, Aubrey; infant daughter, Hazel; step-daughter, Lillian Wilson.

She is survived by daughter, Florence, Toronto, Ont; Carol (John), MacInnis, Indian Harbour, Halifax Co: son, Kenneth, at home; stepdaughter, Olive Flowersmith, Peterborough, Ont; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Clara Croft, Dartmouth; Ethel (Bill) Mosher and Freda (Tam) Sharpe, both of Moser River; brother, Percy (Ernesta), New Chester; many nieces and nephews.

She was also predeceased by sisters, Margaret, Myrtle, Florence, Annie and Jean; brothers, Wallace, Chesley and Melvin. She was a long-time member of St. Mark's Anglican Church, Halifax.

Cremation has taken place. No visitation by request. A memorial service will be held 2 pm. Monday, October 29, in St. Mark'S Anglican Church, Russell Street, Halifax, Canon Sue Moxley officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in St. John's Anglican Cemetery, Necum Teuch, Halifax.⁵
