Born at Ecum Secum Bridge, he was a son of the late John Odess and Anne Florence (Pace) Pye. He was a woodsman and truck driver most of his life until his retirement. He was a member of St. Paul's Anglican Church, Mitchell Bay, as well as a member of Royal Orange Lodge, LOL 2468, Ecum Secum.

Surviving are a son, Dale and daughter-in-law Peggy; grandsons, Dana, Matthew; granddaughters, Sherry, Susan, Dianne, Wanda; a great-granddaughter; sister, Belle Bentley, New Brunswick.

Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Friday in Snow's Funeral Home, Windsor Street, Halifax. The body will then be transferred to Ecum Secum Funeral Home, Ecum Secum, where visitations will be from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. on Saturday. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday in St. John's Anglican Church, Necum Teuch, Rev. Allen Frye officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery, Necum Teuch.4

She was 21.4,2 Mary Alice Fleddie Bezanson died on 22 October 2001 at Halifax, Nova Scotia, at age 89.5 She was buried in St. John's Anglican Cemetery, Necum Teuch, Nova Scotia.5

MASON (Bezanson), Mary Alice F. - 89, Halifax, passed away October 22, 2001, at home.

Born in New Chester, Guysborough Co., she was a daughter of the late John Duncan and Alice May (Croft) Bezanson.

She was predeceased by her husband, Aubrey; infant daughter, Hazel; step-daughter, Lillian Wilson.

She is survived by daughter, Florence, Toronto, Ont; Carol (John), MacInnis, Indian Harbour, Halifax Co: son, Kenneth, at home; stepdaughter, Olive Flowersmith, Peterborough, Ont; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Clara Croft, Dartmouth; Ethel (Bill) Mosher and Freda (Tam) Sharpe, both of Moser River; brother, Percy (Ernesta), New Chester; many nieces and nephews.

She was also predeceased by sisters, Margaret, Myrtle, Florence, Annie and Jean; brothers, Wallace, Chesley and Melvin. She was a long-time member of St. Mark's Anglican Church, Halifax.

Cremation has taken place. No visitation by request. A memorial service will be held 2 pm. Monday, October 29, in St. Mark'S Anglican Church, Russell Street, Halifax, Canon Sue Moxley officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in St. John's Anglican Cemetery, Necum Teuch, Halifax.5
