Amy Walker was born in 1847.2 She married Benjamin Bezanson on 20 June 1872.1,3 Amy Walker died on 2 May 1924 at Middleton, Nova Scotia. The informant on her death certificate was Frank R. Bezanson.4,2 Amy Walker was buried in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton, Nova Scotia.5 The cause of death was arterial sclerosis.4
I have not reviewed primary sources for the birth dates of Benjamin Bezanson and Amy (Walker) Bezanson, and the secondary sources do not agree. The gravestone transcriptions give years only, and in Benjamin's case, 1841 does not agree with Bezansons from Nova Scotia. The 1891 census does not include date of birth, but calculating the birth year from age yields 1844 for Benjamin and 1856 for Amy, neither of which agrees with any other source, although 1844 is an approximate match of Bezansons from Nova Scotia. The 1901 census does include date of birth, but in this case, Benjamin (10 Sep 1846) is younger than Amy (10 May 1840) by 6 years. It might be the case that those dates were switched, which would be an approximate match with the gravestone transcription.
