He died on 23 February 1998 at Armview Estates, Halifax, Nova Scotia, at age 96.2 He was buried on 3 March 1998 in Lakeview Cemetery, Chester Basin, Nova Scotia🌏.5

BEZANSON, Howard Eston - 96, formerly of Middle River, Chester Basin, died February 23, 1998, in Armview Estates, Halifax.

Born in Chester Basin, he was a son of the late Nelson and Alvernia (Croft) Bezanson. He was a retired cooper and farmer. He was a lifetime member of Chester Basin Over 40 Club and attended Aenon United Baptist Church from early childhood.

Surviving are nephews, Dr. Edward Bezanson, Waldo E. Bezanson, Middle River; many other relatives.

He was predeceased by his wife, the former Irene Dixon; brothers, William, Milford, Raymond.

Visitation 7-9 p.m. today in Davis Funeral Home, Chester. Funeral 3:30 p.m. Sunday in Aenon United Baptist Church, Chester Basin, Rev. Leo Gallant officiating. Burial in Lakeview Cemetery, Chester Basin.2

     Cornelius Foster Bezanson was born in 1858.1 He appeared on the census of 1871 at Chester, Nova Scotia, in the household of Isaiah Bezanson and Catherine Backman with George William Bezanson, Ephriam Alexander Bezanson, David Mathias Bezanson, Thomas Warden Bezanson, Caroline Victoria Bezanson, James Edward Bezanson, Nelson Alleyburton Bezanson, Nathaniel Hibbert Bezanson and Eliza Bezanson.2 Cornelius Foster Bezanson died in 1887.1 He Never married.

He was 24.2,4,5 Mary Ann Hiltz may have been the daughter of Hannah Sophia Bezanson and Edmund Hiltz, but I am suspicious given the birth dates of their other children (for which primary sources are available.)6 Hannah Sophia Bezanson died on 8 May 1897 at age 83.2
