Rupert Bezanson Funeral Held

Funeral services for Rupert Bezanson, 80, Racket River, were held at the Phillips memorial Home Saturday afternoon and burial was made at Massena Center. The Rev. Russell Little, pastoe of the Massena Center Methodist Church, officiated.

Mr. Bezanson died Thursday afternoon at Racket River, the day before his 80th birthday. he had been ill for several years.

Mr. Bezanson was born in Hantsport, Nova Scotia. He came to Massena from Massachusetts 37 years ago and was engaged in carpenter work for several years. he has been retired for some time and resided in Racket River.

Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Thomas Duggan, Malden, Mass., Mrs. Ernie D. Allen, Melrose, Mass., Mrs. Burney B. Sprague, manchester, N. H., Mrs. henry F. Adams, North East, Pa., Mrs. Elmer Lauber, Massena, Mrs. Edward Ferguson, Ogdensburg; one son, Ernest R. Bezanson, Massena; one sister, Mrs. Welton Davison, Rosendale, mass., and 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.5
