Audrey Marguerite (Patterson) Bezanson, 93 of Berwick/Aylesford, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2022 in the Grand View Manor. Her family were faithful visitors, especially during her recent stay in the Valley Regional Hospital Emergency Room. Born on September 28, 1928 in Berwick, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Elsie (Lutz) Patterson.
Audrey lived most of her life in the Aylesford area, receiving her education in the one room school house in Aylesford East. She married Henry Bezanson on June 23, 1947, in the Forties Settlement, Lunenburg County. Audrey was an active member of the St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Auburn, where she sang in the church choir and worked on the church committees as a member of the Anglican Church Women’s Auxiliary and the Church’s Altar Guild.
Audrey was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother and held her family in the highest of importance in her life.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Marlene Bezanson of Dartmouth; son, Blaine (Nancy Sabean) Bezanson of Kingston; grandson, Marty Bezanson of Moncton, NB; sister, Betty Thomas of Cole Harbour; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Audrey was predeceased by her beloved husband of 52-years, Henry Bezanson; brother, Donald Patterson; sisters-in-law, Pauline (Reeves) Patterson, Marilyn (Parker) Patterson; nephew Gregory Patterson; great-nephews, Sean Patterson and Lee Patterson.
Special thanks to the loving and caring staff at Grand View Manor for the past six years, the doctors and nurses in the emergency department at Valley Regional Hospital, and the invaluable spiritual guidance of Rev. Mel Malton, Rector of St. Mary’s Anglican Church.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 12:30 pm with a Celebration of Life at 1:00 pm, both held in the St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Auburn. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Coldbrook, NS.2
