Obituary from White Family Funeral Homes (Kentville, Nova Scotia):
It is with great sadness, the family of Donald Carman Bezanson, 78 of Keddy's Corner, Kings County shares the news that he passed away July 18, 2021. Born in Brooklyn Corner, he was the son of the late Foster and Stella (Steadman) Bezanson.

Donnie was a faithful partner, loving father and successful business owner. Donnie's work ethic and talent first shown bright during his early hockey days; an experience he shared with his brothers and happily remembered throughout his life. As a young man alongside Cecil Chase and their families, he built and operated the Bezanson and Chase Cranberry Company in Aylesford. After a successful career as a cranberry farmer, Donnie retired to Green Rd where he could often be found either shooting the breeze over a cup of tea with the family and friends or executing his most recent mechanical miracle. There was little he could not fix and absolutely nothing he could not advise on how something should be fixed. His wisdom and laugh will be forever missed by those who knew it.

He is survived by his partner Cindy Boliver; his children, Shelly Bezanson (Lucas Miller) Rossland, BC, Kim Bezanson (Tom McEwan) Port Williams, Jeff Bezanson (Alison Nagel) Canmore, AB, and Connie Schofield (James) Kingston, NS; one sister, Phyllis (Cecil) Chase, Aylesford and one brother, Eric (Ann), Dartmouth; a sister-in-law, Maxine Bezanson, Cambridge; his grandchildren, Brandon, Ally, Grace, Aiden, Drew, Stella and Grace; and an extended family of loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Jean Bezanson, an infant son, two sisters, Pauline Best (Sheldon Best - deceased) and Edith Best (Almond Best - deceased) ; two brothers, James (Maxine), Elmer (Gertrude Pineo) and Russell (Sheila Bezanson - deceased).

Cremation has taken place. Due to COVID restrictions, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Private family burial will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.2
