GORDON ELIJAH BEZANSON
Funeral service for the late Gordon Elijah Bezanson, who lost his life by drowning at Forest Home, August 23, was held from St James' Anglican Church, Kentville, on August 26, and was largely attended. Rev. L. Weldon Mosher, rector of the church, officiated. Veterans were present in a body, and conducted their service at both church and graveside. The choir sang two favorite hymns, "Lead Kindly Light," and "Nearer My God to Thee." Floral tributes were many and beautiful.
The deceased was born at Aaldersvile, Lunenburg. Co., 42 years ago, son of Mrs. Lottie Bezanson Turbitt, and the late Elijah Bezanson. When the war ended, he returned and was employed as a car salesman at New Minas, and later at Kentville, until ill health forced his retirement three years ago.
