Mida Thursa Hiltz was born on 14 December 1906 at Forties, Nova Scotia.2,1 She and Olive Julia Hiltz may not have the right birth dates; Bezansons from Nova Scotia includes the comment that "[Dates wrong in i. or iii.]" referring to Olive and Mida.2 Mida Thursa Hiltz married James Fredericks.2 Mida Thursa Hiltz died on 30 December 2009 at Chipman Brook, Nova Scotia, at age 103.1 She was buried on 1 January 2010 in Black Rock Cemetery.1

FREDERICKS, Mida Thursa - 103, Chipman Brook, Kings Co., passed away peacefully at the home of her son, Irving Fredericks, on Monday, December 28, 2009.
Born in the Forties, Lunenburg Co., she was a daughter of the late Nathan and Agnes (Bezanson) Hiltz. Mida was the oldest member of Black Rock Baptist Church and was also a member of the Jolly Workers Sewing Circle. She was a life member of the Women's Missionary Society. Mida was the world's best knitter. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are her daughters, Ruth (Scott) McLean, Woodville; Edith (Glanville) Travis, Canning; sons, Nathan (Dora), Grand View Manor, Berwick; Albert (Doreen), Berwick; Irving (Connie), Chipman Brook; 29 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 15 great great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James A. Fredericks; daughters, Clara Coleman, Agnes Morton, Jennie Moody; grandson, Earl Moody; eight sisters; three brothers.
Visitation for Mrs. Fredericks will take place from 2-4 p.m. Thursday in H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, Berwick, from where the funeral service will take place 11 a.m. Friday, January 1, Rev. Freda MacDonald officiating, with burial in Black Rock Cemetery.1

Born in The Forties, Lunenburg County, she was a daughter of the late Nathan and Agnes (Bezanson) Hiltz. She was a homemaker and an avid worker with the Evening Guild of St. James Anglican Church, Kentville. She was a past noble grand of St. Eulalie Rebekah Lodge, Kentville.
She is survived by daughters, Mrs. Shirley Wilson, Dartmouth; Barbara (Mrs. Albert "Keith" Peppard, Riverview, N.B; sisters, Mida Fredericks, Grand View Manor, Berwick; Alice Brydon, Halifax; grandchildren, Bruce, Shirley, Shelley, and Lynda; seven great-grandchildren.

Hiltz, Ida May, age 89 years of Bridgewater, formerly of the Forties, passed away peacefully at the Ryan Hall Shannex in Bridgewater on August 15, 2014. Born in Fraxville on May 15, 1925; she was the daughter of the late Austin & May (Barkhouse) Bezanson.
Left with fond and loving memories are her son Darrell Jones of Bridgewater; daughter Penny Dupuis (Brian) of Coldbrook; brothers Maurice of Morden Mountain, Merlin of Bridgewater and Morley (Jeannie) of Fraxville; sister Elizabeth "Betty" Anderson of Chester Basin; granddaughters Cherise Dupuis and Catherine Dupuis; great-grandson Jaxon Eavis; nephew Danny Hiltz.
Predeceased by her husband Minard Hiltz in 2009; brothers Donald and Allistor; sister-in-law Leone Bennett.
