HILTZ, Daniel Webster - 79, New Ross, Lunenburg Co., died April 12, 1995, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.

Born in New Ross, he was a son of the late Minard and Jennie (Bezanson) Hiltz. He owned and operated a lumber business for many years until retirement.

Surviving are sons, Sidney, The Forties; Danny, New Ross; brother, Minard (Bud), New Ross; sister, Rosalie (Mrs. James Forsythe), Coldbrook; four grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife, the former Mary Murphy; brothers, Harry, Spencer, Stacey, Stanley; sisters, Stella, Nellie, Hattie; a grandchild.

Memorial service 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. Augustine Anglican Church, The Forties, Rev. Gordon Neish officiating. Burial in St. Augustine Anglican Church cemetery.³

WEST, Hattie Irene - 75, Grafton, Kings County, died July 21, 1993, in Western Kings Memorial Hospital, Berwick.

Born in the Forties, Lunenburg County, she was a daughter of the late Minard and Jennie (Bezanson) Hiltz. She was a member of Grafton Baptist Church and active in various church organizations. She was active in Nova Scotia Rural Beautification Program, Progressive Conservative Organization and Ladies Auxiliary of the Western Kings Memorial Hospital, Berwick.

She is survived by two daughters, Glenna (Mrs. Peter Lightfoot), Moncton, N.B; Pat (Mrs. Bud Murphy), Centreville; two sons, James, Grafton; George, Church Street, Port Williams; sister, Rose (Mrs. James Forsyth), Coldbrook; two brothers, Dan, New Ross; Minard (Bud), the Forties; 11 grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, H. Bronson; son, Arthur; two sisters, Stella, Nellie; three brothers, Stacey, Spencer, Harry.

Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. tonight in W.C. Hiltz Funeral Home, Kentville. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday in Grafton Baptist Church, Rev. Leo Fletcher officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville.³

FORSYTH, Rosalie Alma - The family of Rosalie Alma Forsyth, 83, Coldbrook, are sad to announce her passing very peacefully in Grand View Manor, Berwick, on April 1, 2007.

Born in The Forties, Lunenburg Co., on August 17, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Minard and Jennie (Bezanson) Hiltz. "Family, friends, cooking and hard work was the foundation of her life." She was a mother and grandmother to many for 55 years. She worked beside her husband, Jim, on the "Forsyth Homestead". She was a long-time supporter of the Women's Institute and a proud member of St. James Anglican Church, Kentville.

Rose is survived by her son, Brian Douglas (Stephanie) Forsyth, Coldbrook, and special granddaughters, Alexa and Tiffany. She is also survived by her brother, Minard (Ida) Hiltz, New Ross.

She was predeceased by her husband, James; sisters, Hattie, Nellie, and Stella; brothers, Stacey, Spencer, Harry, and Dan.

Visitation will be 7-9 p.m., Wednesday in Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, April 5, in St. James Anglican Church, Kentville, Archdeacon Lynn Uzans officiating. Reception to follow in St. James Church Hall. Private interment will be in the family plot in Berwick Cemetery.²

Seaward St. Clair Keddy, 65, of New Ross was buried in St. Augustine's cemetery, following funeral service from Christ Church, with Rev. Calvin Pretty officiating.

Born in New Ross, he was the son of Loretta Jane Bezanson and Edward James Keddy.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife the former Ethel Keddy, New Ross; two daughters, Alma (Mrs. Clinton Hiltz) New Ross; and Elaine (Mrs. Robert Moulton) Halifax; two sons, Ronald and Brian, both of New Ross; five brothers Lloyd, Jack, George, and Douglas, all of New Ross, and Theodore, Truro; and two sisters, Alberta (Mrs. George Rhodenizer) First Peninsula; and Frances (Mrs. Hibbert Keddy) New Ross.

He was predeceased by three sisters.²
