Obituary from The Providence Journal (Providence, Rhode Island), 13 December 1988:
Edith C. Sinclair, 83, of the Maple Root Village Trailer Park, Nooseneck Hill Road, died Sunday at the Cra-Mar Nursing Home, Cranston. She was the widow of John E. "Jack" Sinclair.

Born in Noel, Nova Scotia, a daughter of the late Pleoman and Janet M. (O'Brien) Bezanson, she moved from Scituate to Coventry 20 years ago. Mrs. Sinclair was a graduate of Wheaton College, and the Children's Hospital School of Nursing, Boston, as a pediatric registered nurse. She formerly operated a home for mentally retarded children in Newport for two years. She was a private duty nurse for 30 years.

She leaves a son, Michael C. Sinclair of Hillsboro, N.H; a brother, Bert Bezanson in California; a sister, Alda Morrison of Salisbury, Vt., and four grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held tomorrow at 1 p.m. at the Frank R. Gorton and Sons Funeral Home, 721 Washington St. Burial will be in Jordan Cemetery, Waterford, Conn.4

There is an entry for an Edith Sinclair in Price and Lee's 1952 Middletown, Connecticut Directory that describes her as the widow of John. I thought that meant that John Edward Sinclair had died sometime before 1952, but I now believe that entry is not for Edith Coralie Bezanson, or is incorrect for some other reason. A descendant of John and Edith told me that John died in 1988.5

John Edward Sinclair was born on 8 February 1898 at Newark, New Jersey.4,2,5 He registered for the military service draft on 12 September 1918 while living at 41 Standish Ave, Cranston, Rhode Island.6 He married Edith Coralie Bezanson.1 John Edward Sinclair died on 2 December 1988 at age 90.2

A descendant of John and Edith told me that John died in 1988.7
