BEZANSON, Ralph Edwin — 78, Kingston died Thursday in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Lake Ramsey, he was a son of the late Edward and Amy (Keddy) Bezanson.

He is survived by his wife, the former Alma Veinotte; three daughters, Doris (Mrs. David Arenburg), Kingston; Amy (Mrs. Paul Ewing), Greenwood; Pearl, Kingston; five sons, Lawson, Sackville; Alfred, Coldbrook; Vance, Joseph, Harold, all of Kingston; a sister, Sarah (Mrs. James Bond), Kelowna, B. C; two half-sisters, Elizabeth (Mrs. Clayton Joudrey), Lake Paul; Beatrice (Mrs. Howard Arenburg), Waterville; a brother, Edgar, New Ross; two half-brothers, Albert, East Dalhousie; Jim, Morristown; 23 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Pearl, Violet; two half-sisters, Etta, Elsie; two brothers, William, Harold; a half-brother, Nelson; a grandson, Tommie.

The body is in Warren T. Roop Funeral Home, Middleton. Funeral will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, All Saint's Anglican Church, Kingston, Rev. Kenneth Vaughan officiating. Burial in North Kingston Cemetery.7

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Lawson Leroy Bezanson, age 87, of Windsor, on Monday, October 30, 2023, in the Hants Community Hospital.

Born June 21, 1936, in East Dalhousie, NS, he was a son of the late Ralph and Alma (Veinot) Bezanson.

Lawson was a self-taught machinist and worked many years with Canada Dry (Bedford), Disco Foods (Bedford), Sensational Juices (Burnside), Pop Shop (Dartmouth) and later in life at Superstore (Bayers Lake). He enjoyed woodworking, golfing with his sons and spending time with his family. He will be forever remembered for his unforgettable sense of humor and was notorious for sticking out his tongue in pictures.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Mary Patricia (Barnaby) Bezanson; daughter Rose McIntyre (Steve); sons James (Jackie), Patrick, John (Krista) and Gordon Bezanson; sister Doris Arenburg; brother Joey Bezanson; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Harold, Alfred and Vance Bezanson; sisters Pearl Gould and Amy Ewing.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Lindsay Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor, NS, B0N 2T0.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.4
