He was 21.2,4 Jeremiah Doane Bezanson served in the Canadian Army in World War 2.2 He was the owner of a construction company.2 He died on 2 June 2000 at Grand View Manor, Berwick, Nova Scotia, at age 83.2 He was buried on 5 June 2000 in Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, Nova Scotia.2

BEZANSON, Jeremiah Doane "Jerry", "J.D." - 84, Grand View Manor, Berwick, formerly of Coldbrook, died Friday, June 2, 2000, in the manor.

Born in Wolfville, Kings Co., he was a son of the late Elias and Laura (Morine) Bezanson. He was an adherent of the Kentville United Baptist Church, Kentville. He served in the Canadian Army during the Second World War, and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Kings Branch 6. He worked in construction for M. A. Condon, V. C. Woodworth, Cyrus & Manning Ells, and finally had a construction company of his own.

He is survived by daughters, Joyce (Mrs. Kenneth Brown), Judith (Mrs. Wayne Baxter), both of Coldbrook; son, Eugene "Buzz" and wife Linda, New Minas; grandchildren, Randall and Tamilyn Brown, Christopher, Kathi and Darren Bezanson, Scott, Taralee and Jerry Baxter; great-grandchildren, Taralyn and Bradley Baxter, Jarred and Jordan Bezanson and Tanisha Sellars-Bezanson, Ryan and Brogan Brown and Nathaniel Hughes. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

He was predeceased by his wife, the former Dorothy Elizabeth Keddy; sisters, Lillian Smith, Ella MacCauley, Gertrude Brown, Mary Mooney, Eleanor Smith, Leta Davison, Mildred Hall and Bessie; brothers, Roy, James Ronald, Leslie Raymond, Kenneth Elias and Gordon; grandson, Troy Bezanson.

Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. with Royal Canadian Legion, Kings Branch 6 service at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 4. A celebration of his life will be held at 3:30 p.m. with a reception following the committal service Monday, June 5, all in W. C. Hiltz Funeral Parlour, Kentville. Rev. Judith Gates will officiate. Burial will take place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, Kings Co.5
