Age 91, of Windsor, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021, in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on June 16, 1929, in New Ross, Lunenburg Co., she was a daughter of the late William and Janet (Hatt) Levy.
Jean was the last surviving member of her family. Jean was a member of Windsor Baptist Church.
Jean is survived by daughters, Pauline (Merrill) O'Neil, Windsor; Betty (Terry) Sjuberg in Alberta; Debbie (John) Poole, Mount Uniacke; sons, Brian Moore, Windsor; Willard Moore, Windsor; Gary (Shelley) Moore, Mount Uniacke; Ricky (Carolanne) Moore, Windsor; stepson, Gary Bezanson in Ontario; special niece, Rhoda Veinot; 30 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, and several great great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Elias Bezanson; daughter-in-law, Paulette Moore; granddaughters, Ashley Moore and Charlene Lantz; sisters, Effie Keddy and Dorothy Bates; brothers, Elwood, Lawson, Harold, Ernest, Robie, Atwood, and Gordon Levy.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to all the staff at Haliburton Place and to Dr. Cathryn Smith for all the care they provided to Jean over the last year. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Lindsay Windsor Funeral Home, Windsor Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 27th, in Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Rob Heffernan and Rev. Dr. John Bartol officiating. Interment in Maplewood Cemetery, 1186 King St., Windsor.2

Edna May Bezanson was born on 1 January 1903 at Colorado.1,2 She married Milton Johns on 15 January 1922 at Harrison County, Texas. She was 19.3,1 Edna May Bezanson and Milton Johns were divorced before 2 March 1950. Edna May Bezanson married James Leon White on 2 March 1950. She was 47.1 Edna May Bezanson died on 19 November 1998 at Lompoc, California, at age 95.4,5 She was buried in El Toro Memorial Park, Lake Forest, California, where her ashes were scattered in the Garden of Remembrance.6

Edna White
A memorial service celebrating the life of Edna White, 95, of Vandenburg Village will be held at the Calvary Baptist Church, 3355 Constellation Road, in Vandenberg Village at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, 1998. The Rev. Dean Monkemeier, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, will officiate.
Mrs. White was born in Monte Vista, Colo. on Jan. 1, 1903. She spent her adult life in Shreveport, La. after her family moved there when she was a young girl in high school. She moved to Lompoc in 1973 to be near her children and grandchildren after the death of her second husband, J. Leon White, the founder and owner of White's Cleaners and Dyers in Shreveport. She lived with her son in Lompoc and her daughter Solvang, Santa Maria and Bel Air until she settled into her final home in Vandenberg Village in 1980. She was very active in her church and community in both Shreveport and Lompoc. She was a devoted member of the Calvary Baptist Church and attended circle meetings regularly with her friends in Lompoc, Mission Hills and Vandenberg Village.
She played contract bridge weekly at the Alpha Club. Once she and her partner won a major contract bridge contest at the Alpha Club and were eligible to go to the next level of competition in San Francisco but since she was in her late 80s and her partner was a paraplegic, they chose not to go.
Mrs. White died Thursday, Nov. 19, 1998, at the Convalescent Care CEnter.
She is survived by her two children, M. Eugene Johns of Vandenberg Village and Peggy Sweeney of Brownsville, Texas; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
At her request, and as her final contribution to society, her body was donated to the UCLA Medical Center.4
