Maurice BARKHOUSE
Age 78, died in Windsor Elms Village, Falmouth, Saturday, August 14, 2021 with loving and dedicated wife, Pam, by his side. Born in Wolfville, son of the late Maurice Barkhouse and Mildred (Bezanson) (Barkhouse) Hall.
Survived by his wife, Pam, of 33 years; brother, Richard (Sharon) Barkhouse; son and daughter from previous marriage: John (Kollett) Barkhouse,Kari Baltzer; grandchildren, Connor, Denise, Alexandria, Katina, Brittany, Matthew; great-grandchild, Chase; brothers-in-law, Cyril (Lauretta), Roy; nieces, Heather (Dave), Merissa (James), Annabelle, Kayla, Sarah; nephews, Rick (Angie), Dave, Alex; great nephews, Thomas, Jacob; great nieces, Amy, Lily, Talia, Hellena, Aiyana; extended family members, Fred (Stacey), Leo (Melissa), Brad (Melissa), Madison, Lily, Callie, Rachel.
Thanks to our dedicated and loving Caregiver, Janet Fralick, who was by our side for the past two years. Also thanks to the Nova Scotia Health Authority, Continuing Care Branch, for their professional service in Caregiving support, our Caregivers, Northwood Adult Day Program, Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia, Caregivers Nova Scota, respite friends, Andy, Bob, Bruce, Fred, Rev. Cheryl, and especially the Windsor Elm Village staff who provided the utmost professional and loving care to Maurice. The last four months of Maurice’s life felt like a home away from home. Thank you to friends and family for being there during the most difficult times of our lives. You touched our lives in positive ways and made this difficult journey easier for us all. Due to COVID restrictions, private Celebration of Life service.
