     Arthur Henry Bezanson was born on 22 October 1918 at Westville, Nova Scotia.^1,3 He appeared on the census of 1921 at Westville, Nova Scotia, in the household of Manson Bigelow Bezanson and Janie Elizabeth Millen with Winnie Bezanson, Walter Millen Bezanson, Margaret Ann Bezanson, Marion Olive Bezanson and Helen Myra Bezanson.⁴ Arthur Henry Bezanson married Betty Margaret Finch.⁵ Arthur Henry Bezanson lived at 1 South Main Street, Westville, Nova Scotia.² He died on 26 April 1989 at age 70.²

     Frank Curwin Bezanson was born on 31 August 1928.¹ He married Wanda Alice Banks in 1948.^2,3 Frank Curwin Bezanson served in the Royal Canadian Air Force.³ He ran for election as a Member of the Legislative Assembly from the Liberal Party for Kings West six times, and won a seat twice. He lost the General Elections of 3 May 1967 and 30 Oct 1970. He won a By-Election on 16 Nov 1971, and a General Election on 2 Apr 1974. He lost the General Elections of 19 Sep 1978 and 6 Sep 1988.³ He lived in Kingston, Nova Scotia.³ He died on 10 November 1993 at Toronto, Ontario, at age 65.⁴

     Marion Olive Bezanson was born on 11 March 1915 at Westville, Nova Scotia.^1,3 She appeared on the census of 1921 at Westville, Nova Scotia, in the household of Manson Bigelow Bezanson and Janie Elizabeth Millen with Winnie Bezanson, Walter Millen Bezanson, Margaret Ann Bezanson, Helen Myra Bezanson and Arthur Henry Bezanson.⁴ Marion Olive Bezanson married Louis Layton Tattrie.³ Marion Olive Bezanson was also known as Mae Tattrie. She died on 22 August 1959 at age 44.³ In her sister Helen Myra Humphrey's 1998 obituary Marion is referred to as Mae Tattrie.⁵

     Agnes Bezanson was born between 1885 and 1886.¹ She appeared on the census of 1891 at Sheet Harbour, Nova Scotia, in the household of Enos Henry Bezanson and Margaret Ann Beeswanger with Marie Bezanson, Arthur Bezanson, Manson Bigelow Bezanson, Annie Parker Bezanson and Sadie Melvin Bezanson.² Agnes Bezanson married Augustus J. Sponagle on 3 September 1903 at Country Harbour, Nova Scotia; the ceremony was performed by Rev. D. Edwards.^3,1 Agnes Bezanson died on 7 May 1906.¹ From her obituary: Left husband, one son, Byron Manson (Sponagle.)¹

     Augustus J. Sponagle was born in 1879 at Isaac's Harbour, Nova Scotia.¹ He lived at Goldboro, Nova Scotia. He married Agnes Bezanson on 3 September 1903 at Country Harbour, Nova Scotia; the ceremony was performed by Rev. D. Edwards.^2,1

     Byron Manson Sponagle was born on 6 May 1905 at Goldboro, Nova Scotia.^1,2 He married May Belle Behie on 21 June 1928 at Sheet Harbour, Nova Scotia. He was 23.³

     Annie Parker Bezanson was born on 23 April 1887 at Lochaber Mines, Nova Scotia.^1,2 She married Chadwick Murray Malay on 26 May 1903 at Sheet Harbour, Nova Scotia. She was 16. He was 20.^3,2 Sisters Annie and Sadie Bezanson married brothers Chadwick and Joseph Malay. Joseph was Sadie's second husband. Annie Parker Bezanson died on 11 April 1957 at Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital, Sheet Harbour, Nova Scotia, at age 69.^4,2 She was buried in Lochaber Mines Cemetery, Lochaber Mines, Nova Scotia.²

     Chadwick Murray Malay was born on 13 July 1882 at Lochaber Mines, Nova Scotia.^1,3 He married Annie Parker Bezanson on 26 May 1903 at Sheet Harbour, Nova Scotia. He was 20. She was 16.^4,3 Sisters Annie and Sadie Bezanson married brothers Chadwick and Joseph Malay. Joseph was Sadie's second husband. Chadwick Murray Malay died on 11 January 1961 at Lochaber Mines, Nova Scotia, at age 78.^5,3

     Sadie Melvin Bezanson was also known as Sarah Bezanson. She was born on 22 January 1890 at Lochaber Mines, Nova Scotia.^2,3,4 She married Colin Roderick Paige on 2 May 1907 at Westville, Nova Scotia. She was 17. He was 20.^5,6 Sadie Melvin Bezanson and Colin Roderick Paige were divorced before 27 July 1929.⁷ Sadie Melvin Bezanson married Joseph Malay on 27 July 1929 at Lochaber, Nova Scotia. She was 39.^8,9 Sisters Annie and Sadie Bezanson married brothers Chadwick and Joseph Malay. Joseph was Sadie's second husband. She died on 7 April 1973 at Ottawa, Ontario, at age 83.⁶

     Death Notice from The Ottawa Journal (Ottawa, Ontario), 9 April 1973:
     Sadie Melvin Bezanson was described as the inspiration for the life of her grandchild Joy Winnifred Cavanaugh in the latter's death notice in South Shore Now (Bridgewater, Nova Scotia) on 28 June 2011.¹¹
     From Bezansons from Nova Scotia: "Two daughters by Malay, others by Paige. The age given in the record of her first marriage seems to indicate that Sarah (vi) and Sadie (vii) are in fact the same person (i.e. [Sadie] is 18 yrs old in 1907) (Also possible that Sarah d. in infancy, D.E.E.)¹"
     The 1891 census entry for Enos and Margaret includes Sarah, age 1. The 1901 entry includes Sarah, age 10. Given the census evidence, and the birth register entry, I believe there was only one child, not two as listed in Bezansons from Nova Scotia. Dorothy Evans thought the same thing, but still included both Sarah (vi) and Sadie Melvin (vii) in the list of Enos and Margaret's children.^3,12

     Afton Fenton Bezanson was born on 1 April 1907 at Marblehead, Massachusetts.¹ Afton Fenton Bezanson was born after the death of his father. He married Margaret Roller in 1930 at Marblehead, Massachusetts.^2,3,4 Afton Fenton Bezanson died on 16 February 2000 at Beverly, Massachusetts, at age 92.⁵ He may be buried in Mount Royal Cemetery, Glenshaw, Pennsylvania, where his name is on a tombstone, but there is no death date and so he may not be buried there. His death notice says he would be buried in Massachusetts.⁶

     Joseph Malay was born circa 1887 at Lochaber, Nova Scotia.¹ He married Sadie Melvin Bezanson on 27 July 1929 at Lochaber, Nova Scotia. She was 39.^1,2 Sisters Annie and Sadie Bezanson married brothers Chadwick and Joseph Malay. Joseph was Sadie's second husband. Joseph Malay died in 1939.³

     William Joseph Bezanson was born in 1853 at Isaac's Harbour, Nova Scotia.² He married Hannah Catherine Prest on 29 December 1884 at Mooseland, Nova Scotia.³ William Joseph Bezanson became a widower upon the death of his wife Hannah Catherine Prest in 1889.¹ William Joseph Bezanson married Mary Gammon on 2 August 1889 or 29 November 1899.² Eldest two children were listed with William in 1891 Census, Spry Bay, his mother with them, youngest child with maternal grandparents.⁴ William Joseph Bezanson appeared on the census of 1891 at Spry Bay, Nova Scotia, with Beatrice Bezanson, Bessie Leuvella Bezanson and Mary-Ann (?)⁵

     Hannah Catherine Prest was born circa 1861 at Mooseland, Nova Scotia.¹ She married William Joseph Bezanson on 29 December 1884 at Mooseland, Nova Scotia.² Hannah Catherine Prest died in 1889.¹ Karen Farmer's data had Evabell Bezanson as the daughter of Mary Gammon. Roxanna Kelley, a descendant, reported that Eva was the daughter of Hannah Prest, and that Hannah died giving birth to her. Eva was then adopted by Hannah's brother.³

     Mary Gammon was born in 1848.¹ She married William Joseph Bezanson on 2 August 1889 or 29 November 1899.²

     Beatrice Bezanson was born in 1885.¹ She appeared on the census of 1891 at Spry Bay, Nova Scotia, in the household of William Joseph Bezanson with Bessie Leuvella Bezanson and Mary-Ann (?)² Beatrice Bezanson married William MacDonald on 5 March 1906 at Upper Musquodoboit, Nova Scotia.¹

     Bessie Leuvella Bezanson was born on 12 March 1886 at Mooseland, Nova Scotia.^1,2 She appeared on the census of 1891 at Spry Bay, Nova Scotia, in the household of William Joseph Bezanson with Beatrice Bezanson and Mary-Ann (?)³ Bessie Leuvella Bezanson married LeRoy Taylor on 2 May 1905 at Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia. She was 19.⁴
