Frederick H. Allen, Sr., 52, of 20 LaSalle Ave, Northampton, father of Mrs. Mary L. Foster of Easthampton, died Saturday in Cooley Dickinson Hospital, Northampton. He was the husband of Pauline (Sicard) Allen.
He was born in Northampton, and had lived there all his life. Mr Allen was a former driver for the Courtesy Taxi Co., Northampton and a 15-year employee of the Prophylactic Brush Co. in Florence.
Besides his wife he leaves his grandmother, Mrs. Mary (Bezanson) Miller of Boston and daughter; a son, Frederick H. Allen. Jr. of Northampton; another daughter, Mrs. Linda Mandeville of Northampton; two sisters, Mrs. June Braman of Haydenville and Mrs Edith Fena [Sena] of Northampton and nine grandchildren.
The funeral will be tomorrow morning from the Childs Funeral Home, Haydenville, followed by burial at the convenience of the family.8
