MILLER, Ruth Rebecca - 81, Windsor Elms Senior Citizens Home, Windsor, formerly of Poplar Grove, Hants Co., died October 19, 1996, in the home.

Born in Belcher Street, Kings Co., she was a daughter of the late George and Janie (Bezanson) MacInnis.

Surviving are daughters, Jean Benedict, Poplar Grove; Margaret (Mrs. Francis Murray), Sydney Forks; Ruth (Mrs. Carl Mahar) Walton, Hants Co; sons, John Miller, Pembroke, Hants Co; Everett Miller, Poplar Grove; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; brothers, Obadiah (Obie) MacInnis, Canning, Kings Co; Paul MacInnis, Yarmouth; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by husband, Courtney Conrad; son, Clare Allen in infancy; grandson, Angus Murray; sisters, Addie (Mrs. Alex Stewart), Margaret (Mrs. Everett Smith), Ethel (Mrs. John Gorman), Sadie (Mrs. Charles Dunbrack); brothers, St. Clair, John (Donald).

Funeral 2 p.m. today in Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, 194 King Street, Rev. Florence Antle-Brison officiating. Burial in Riverview Haven Cemetery, Union Corner, Hants Co.²

BEZANSON, Leona C. B. - 86, Chester Basin, died Saturday, April 2, 2011, in South Shore Regional Hospital.

Born in Mill Village, Queens Co., Leona was a daughter of the late Joseph and Aletha (Bezanson) Dauphinee.

Leona is survived by her sons, Ernest (Holly), Canaan; and Lester, Chester Grant; daughters, Juanita Collicutt, Chester Basin; Valerie (Willis) Baker, Port Medway; Bernice (Thomas) Nauss, Windsor Road; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister, Ellen Wamboldt, Milton; and Leatha Farley, Hillsview Acres.

She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence; son-in-law, Vincent Collicutt; sister, Violet; and brother, Joe. As requested, there will be no visitation. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Kingdom Hall, Simms Settlement, with Leon Whitters officiating. Burial will follow in Aenon Baptist Cemetery, Chester Basin. Family flowers only, please. The family would like to give their sincere thanks to the wonderful staff at South Shore Regional Hospital for their care and kindness to mom and dad. BEZANSON, Clarence Walter — 89, Chester Basin, died July 12, 2010, in Fisherman's Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg.

Born in Middle River, Chester Basin, Clarence was a son of the late Avery and Alfretta (Boutilier) Bezanson. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Clarence is survived by his wife, Leona (Dauphinee); sons, Ernest (Holly) and Lester; daughters, Juanita Collicutt, Valerie Baker and Bernice Nauss.

As requested, there will be no visitation. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Kingdom Hall, Simms Settlement. Burial to follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Chester Basin.⁵

Letha Melissa Farley

Age 93, Dartmouth/Port Medway, died October 6, 2020. Daughter of late Joseph/Althea Dauphinee. Surviving sons, Arnold, Lorne; grand-children; sister Ellen.

Predeceased by two children; three siblings.

FARLEY – Letha Melissa, 93, of Dartmouth, NS, formerly of Port Medway, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Oakwood Terrace Nursing Home, Dartmouth on Tuesday, October 6, 2020.

Born in Mill Village, Queens County, Letha was a daughter of the late Joseph and Althea (Bezanson) Dauphinee.

Letha worked as a production worker for thirty years with Salada Foods in Toronto until her retirement. She enjoyed playing cards, especially 45’s.

Letha is survived by her sons Arnold (Cheryl) of Dartmouth and Lorne (Linda) of Oshawa, ON; a number of grandchildren as well as her sister Ellen Wamboldt of Milton.

Besides her parents, Letha was predeceased by her daughter Nancy Drysdale, her son Robert, her sisters Violet Wolfe and Leona Bezanson and her brother Joseph.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ funeral Home, Liverpool. A graveside memorial service will be held in Mill Village Community Cemetery on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.²

DAUPHINEE, Joseph Haliburton - 77, Milford, Hants Co., died August 26, 1996, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro.

Born in Port Medway, Queens Co., he was a son of the late Joseph and Althea (Bezanson) Dauphinee. He was a seaman with the merchant marines. He later did mechanical work with various companies. He enjoyed the outdoors and horses.

Surviving are daughter, Cavell Kirkwood, Dartmouth; sisters, Violet (Mrs. Sandy Wolfe), Milton; Leona (Mrs. Clarence Bezanson), Chester Basin; Letha Farley, Mill Village, Queens Co; Ellen (Mrs. Lindy Wamboldt), Milton; several nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service at a later date in Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie.³
