     Donald Gardner Bezanson was born on 20 May 1922 at Marblehead, Massachusetts.2,1 He married Barbara Louise King on 1 September 1943 at Concord, New Hampshire. He was 21. She was 21.4,1 Donald Gardner Bezanson was an usher at the marriage of Arthur Stanley Bezanson and Mary Dickinson in July 1948 at Advent Christian Church, Crouseville, Maine.1,5 Donald Gardner Bezanson was buried in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody, Massachusetts.6 He died on 31 May 2008 at age 86.7

Leominster - Donald "Gard" Bezanson, 86, died in Life Care Center, Leominster after several months of failing health.

He was born on May 20, 1922 in Marblehead, MA, and was the son of Roland & Mabel (Douglass) Bezanson.

He was raised in Somerville, where he graduated from high school in 1940. He married Barbara King on Sept. 1, 1943 and they lived in MA, and then Clearwater, Florida until her death in 1989. Many of their summers were spent in Alton Bay, NH at the Christian Conference Center. The last eight years, he was living with his daughter & son-in-law in Leominster, MA and recently moved to "Manor on the Hill" in Leominster.

He is survived by family members who include a daughter, Evelyn and her husband Thomas Nowell, three grandchildren Tom Nowell, Barbara Paull, & Jennifer Parker, and 11 great-grandchildren Emily, Thomas, Nicholas, and Katherine Nowell; Susanna, Karissa, Caleb, Julianna, Micah, Kristianna, and Daniel Paull. He also leaves one brother, Arthur, of Astoria, Oregon as well as three sisters-in-law and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

As were his wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral. A private service will be held at Puritan Lawn, Lynnfield at a later date.8

He was 21.3,1 Donald Gardner Bezanson and Barbara Louise King appeared on the census of 1950 at 10A Avon Street, Reading, Massachusetts.4 She died on 5 August 1989 at age 67.2 She was buried in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody, Massachusetts.5

     Death Notice from The St. Petersburg Times (St. Petersburg, Florida), 9 August 1989:
BEZANSON, BARBARA L., 67, of Clearwater, died Saturday (Aug. 5, 1989) in Alton Bay, N.H., after a brief illness.

She was born in Concord, N.H., and came here in 1969 from Wilmington, Mass. She attended Skycrest Baptist Church, Clearwater. She was a retired clerk typist for Pinellas County schools.

Survivors include her husband, D. Gardner; a daughter, Evelyn L. Nowell, Hatboro, Pa; a sister, Joyce Baudouin, Montgomery, Ill; three grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Peaslee Alton Funeral Home, Alton, N.H.6

     Loren Dragon Jr. was born on 4 March 1945 at Connecticut.2,3 He appeared on the census of 1950 at 58 Concord St, Bristol, Connecticut, in the household of Loren Dragon and Mildred Irene Bezanson.3 Loren Dragon Jr. married Stella Wielgos.1 Loren Dragon Jr. died on 16 January 2025 at age 79.2

Loren Bubby S. Dragon, Jr., 79 of Bristol and LiveWell in Plantsville, CT, passed away on January 16, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Stella (Wielgos) Dragon, sharing 62 years of marriage. The only son of 7 children, Bubby was born on March 4, 1945, to the late Loren S. Sr. and Mildred (Bezanson) Dragon. He attended Bristol schools before joining the U.S. Navy, proudly serving his country.

In addition to his wife Stella, Bubby is survived by 6 sisters and their spouses: Cathy Ruscitti (Salvatore) of Terryville, Dale Goodrich (Wayne) of North Hero, VT, Nan Grosky (Ed) of Lake Panasoffkee, Fl, Donna Audet (Donald), Nina Kelly (Bill), and Holly Simard (Barry) all of North Fort Myers, FL. He also leaves an uncle, Donald Bezanson of Waterbury and many nephews and nieces that he loved so much.

Bubby was predeceased by his children, infant daughter, Christy Lynn Dragon, sons, Barry Dragon and Jimmy Dragon and niece, Shannon Gilbert.

A funeral service will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 24,2025, at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, CT 06010. Bubby will be laid to rest next to his children with military honors at St. Joseph Cemetery, 522 Terryville Ave., Bristol. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.2
