Edward F. Bezanson
CANTERBURY, N.H. - A funeral was held Nov. 5 at Canterbury Community Church for Edward F. Bezanson Sr., 69, who died Nov. 2. Burial followed in Maple Grove Cemetery.
The bearers were Mr. Bezanson's sons, Edward, Chester, Ronald and Michael Bezanson, as well as Dean Tilton and Jim Eaton. The flag draping the casket was presented to Mr. Bezanson's widow.
Mr. Bezanson was born in Winchester and lived in Canterbury for 30 years, moving here from Brattleboro, Vt. He worked both for Agway Feed Co. and Weeks Dairy Co. He owned and managed the former Wrecker Service of Concord for 10 years, retiring in 1988.
A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Canterbury Community Church, and the Brattleboro posts of Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion. He served as a volunteer for the fire and police departments in Brattleboro, and was a member of the New Hampshire Towing Association and the National Rifle Association.
Surviving are his wife, Jean (Hepworth) Bezanson; four sons, Edward F. Bezanson Jr. of Franklin, Chester Bezanson of East Andover, Ronald Bezanson of Brattleboro and Michael Bezanson of Canterbury; four daughters, Darlene Clark of Newfane, Vt., Ellie Bezanson of Canterbury, Cheryl Perkins of Northfield and Barbie Tilton of Canterbury; 27 grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren; a brother, John Bezanson of Oregon; four sisters, Nellie Eaton of California, Ada Thomas of Florida, Eva Buskirk of South Carolina and Barbara Blackwood of Sanbomton; niece and nephews.
He was predeceased by two sons, James and John.
The Wendell J. Butt Funeral Home, Penacook, was in charge of arrangements.7

FRANKLIN, N.H. - Rosella "Rose" Mae (Carpenter) Bezanson Davis, 78, of 76 West Bow St. in Franklin died at her home on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003, following a sudden illness.
She was born in Brattleboro, Vt., on April 6, 1925, the daughter of John Haskell Carpenter Sr. and Gladys May (Smith) Carpenter. While in Vermont she pursued a nursing career at the Brattleboro Retreat. She lived in the Tilton-Franklin areas for many years. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Davis had a great passion for family, friends and those in need and was a longtime active member of Alcoholics Anonymous.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Edward Bezanson Sr; two sons, John Bezanson and James Bezanson; and a brother, John Carpenter, all of Brattleboro.
She is survived by three sons, Edward Bezanson Jr. of Northfield, Chester Bezanson of Andover, and Ronald Bezanson of Franklin; a daughter, Darlene Clark of Townshend; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Chester Carpenter of Brattleboro and Robert Carpenter of Putney, Vt; and nieces and nephews.7
