Bezanson and Katherine Lightizer appeared on the census of 1900 at Marshfield, Massachusetts, with Viola M. Bezanson, Esther M. Bezanson and Louisa A. Bezanson.2 Katherine Lightizer became a widow at age 40 upon the death of her husband James P. Bezanson on 24 November 1902 at Marshfield, Massachusetts.3 Katherine Lightizer died on 19 December 1905 at Main Street, Marshfield, Massachusetts, at age 43.1 She was buried in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Marshfield, Massachusetts.1

     Norma Marie Leonard was born circa 1939 at Boston, Massachusetts.1 She married Edward Francis Bezanson.1 Norma Marie Leonard married Reggie Champagne.2 Norma Marie Leonard died on 30 March 2001.2

     Obituary, 1 April 2001:
LOUDON - Norma M. (Leonard) Champagne, 62, of Chichester Road, died suddenly on Friday.

She was born in Boston, the daughter of Normal Bradford and Eleanor Marie (Carlson) Leonard.

She was a 1956 graduate of Brattleboro High School in Vermont. She attended the nursing program at Burbank Hospital in Fitchburg, Mass. She earned a bachelor's of science degree in accounting and computer science and an associate's degree in business management from Franklin Pierce College in Concord. She was attending the College of Life Long Learning, where was completing her teaching degree. She worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Hampshire for 17 years. She began teaching at Pembroke Academy in 1993 as a special education and behavior modification teacher, working with students with EH disabilities. Last fall, she was transferred to Hillsborough-Deering Middle School, where she continued her career in special education. A world traveler, she and her husband, Reggie, have vacationed all over the world, including Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Italy, France, Hawaii and throughout the United States. She was a charter member, trustee and auditor of the Eagles No. 613 Auxiliary. She was a member of the New Hampshire Writers and Publishers Project. She was also a senior friend of the Friends Program for almost 20 years.

Survivors include her husband, Reggie Champagne of Loudon; one son, Michael Bezanson of Canterbury; three daughters, Elle Bezanson and Barbie Tilton, both of Canterbury, and Cheryl Perkins of Northfield; two sisters, Carol George of Exeter and Joyce Al-darraji of Somersworth; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 274 Pleasant St., Concord.2

     James William Bezanson was born on 16 April 1946 at 10 Reed Street, Brattleboro, Vermont.1 He appeared on the census of 1950 at Northfield Road, Hinsdale, New Hampshire, in the household of Edward Francis Bezanson and Rosella Mae Carpenter with Ronald Lee Bezanson.2 James William Bezanson married Mary Lou Jarvis on 11 November 1976 at Brattleboro, Vermont. He was 30. She was 27.3,4 James William Bezanson died on 17 December 1979 at 11 Cedar Street, Brattleboro, Vermont, at age 33.4 The cause of death was cardiac conductive abnormality resulting in cardiac arrhythmia.4

JAMES W. BEZANSON

James William Bezanson, 33, died unexpectedly this morning at his home at 11 Cedar St.

He was born in Brattleboro April 16, 1946, son of Edward and Rosella (Carpenter) Bezanson. He attended Brattleboro Union High School and was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam conflict. He was employed by Allard Lumber Co.

He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Lou Jarvis, whom he married in Brattleboro Nov. 11,1976.

Other survivors include two sons, Christopher and James, at home; his father, Edward Bezanson of Canterbury, N.H; his mother, Mrs. Rosella Davis of Tilton, N.H; three brothers, Ronald of Brattleboro, Chester of Belmont, N.H., and Edward of Franklin, N.H; a sister, Mrs. Darlene Clark of Townshend; nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements are pending at Ker Funeral Home.3

Mary Lou (Jarvis) Potvin, 63, of Vernon passed away peacfully at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital on October 30, 2012. She was surrounded and comforted by her family and friends.

Mary was born on Feb 7, 1949 in Brattleboro, the daughter of Irene and Eugene Jarvis.

She is survived by her loving husband Charles Potvin, whom she married in 1999; sons James Bezanson of Vernon, Christopher Wells of White River Junction; brother, Stetson Blake, of Montpelier; her sister, Patricia Dumont, of Piedmont, S.C. She is also survived by five grandchildren, many close friends and extended family members.

She was predeceased by her brothers John Blake and Andrew Blake.

At the family's request there will be no formal services.6
