He was 25.1 Boyd Alton Hiltz died on 5 April 1997 at Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton, Nova Scotia, at age 83.2 He was buried on 8 April 1997 in St. Mary's Anglican Cemetery, Auburn, Nova Scotia.2

     Obituary, 7 April 1997:
HILTZ, Boyd Alton - 83, Millville, Kings Co., died April 5, 1997, in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton.

Born in Berwick, he was a son of the late Roderick and Ethel (Bezanson) Hiltz. He owned and operated a mixed farm in Millville, and also worked as a cooper, lumberman and at various other jobs. He retired from Larsen's Packers Ltd., Berwick, in 1979, after 17 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Anglican Church, Auburn.

Surviving are his wife, the former Florence Daniel; son, Ralph, Millville; daughter, Pauline (Mrs. Lester Bradley), Stoney Creek, Ont; brother, Basil, Millville; sister, Mable (Mrs. Arnold Robar), Aylesford; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by brothers, Stanley, Reginald, James, LeRoy; sisters, Harriette and Elva Keddy, Viola, Annie and Vinnie Hiltz.

Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in H.C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, Berwick. Funeral 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. Mary's Anglican Church, Auburn, Rev. Gordon Redden officiating. Burial in church cemetery.2
