Crowell on 3 February 1937 at Windsor, Nova Scotia. She was 23.4,3,5 Mabel Melinda Bezanson died on 17 June 2003 at Dykeland Lodge, Windsor, Nova Scotia, at age 90.2 She was buried on 20 June 2003 in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport, Nova Scotia.2

CROWELL, Mabel Melinda "Lindy" - 90, formerly of Hantsport, Hants Co., passed away peacefully June 17, 2003, in Dykeland Lodge, Windsor.

Born in Waterville (Vaughan), Hants Co., she was a daughter of the late Seymour and Nina (Melvin) Bezanson. In her early years, she loved working at Yeaton's Candy Factory, Hantsport, and later with her husband, Reg, and owned and operated "Crowell Grocery" for over 35 years in Hantsport. After retirement they joined the camping clubs "Sam Slick" and "Autumn Leaves". She also enjoyed selling at flea markets. She was an adherent of Hantsport Baptist Church. Lindy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her son, Laurie (Audrey) Crowell, Bishopville; daughters, Elva (Mrs. David Peach), Falmouth; Ella (Mrs. Douglas Young), Hantsport; Mary, (Mrs. David Robarts), Hantsport; sisters, Eva Patterson, Kentville, and Hazel Beckwith, Hantsport; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Frank Reginald; sister, Margaret and twin sister, Emma; great great-grandson, Logan Blue.

Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. today in Lohnes~Beazley Family Funeral Home, 419 Albert St., Windsor. Funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 20, in Hantsport Baptist Church, Rev. Dr. John Bartol officiating. Interment in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport.2

     Hazel Bezanson was also known as Hazel Maud.2 She was born on 30 March 1925.1 She married James Beckwith on 24 December 1947. She was 22.1 Hazel Bezanson and James Beckwith lived in Hantsport, Nova Scotia.1 Hazel Bezanson died on 25 November 2018 at Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, Nova Scotia, at age 93.2 She was buried in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport, Nova Scotia.2

Age 93, of Hantsport, passed a-way peacefully Sunday, November 25, 2018 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Bishopville, she was a daughter of the late Seymour and Nina Bezanson.

Hazel worked in a one-room schoolhouse in Kings County as a teacher. She was also a member of the Lockhartville Women's Institute.

She is survived by daughter, Glenda (Robert) Braham; grandson, James (Sandra); foster son, Garnet Lorencovitch.

Besides her parents, Hazel was predeceased by her husband, James William Beckwith (August 16, 1983); sisters, Margaret and Eva, and twin sisters, Melinda and Emma.

Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St. Windsor, where visitation will be held Wednesday, November 28th from 6-8 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Hazel's life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, November 29th in DeMont Family Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Garnet Parker officiating. A reception will immediately follow in the funeral home's Elmcroft Reception Centre. Interment will take place in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport.2

CROWELL, Frank Reginald "Reg" - 86, Hantsport, Hants Co., passed away peacefully June 21, 2000, in Dykeland Lodge, Windsor.

Born in Summerville, Hants Co., he was a son of the late Frank and Bertha (Sanford) Crowell. He was an adherent of the Hantsport Baptist Church. Reg spent his early years on the railroad, but for most of his life he was a carpenter. He was a member of the Avon Boat Club and a past member of the Hantsport Fire Department. He was an avid musician being able to play most instruments. He enjoyed performing, was noted for his deep bass voice and always had a joke to tell. He loved hunting and fishing. He and his wife owned and operated "Crowell's Grocery" for over 35 years in Hantsport. After retirement they joined the camping clubs, "Sam Slick" and "Autumn Leaves". They also enjoyed going to flea markets. Reg was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mabel Melinda (Bezanson) Crowell; son, Laurie Crowell and wife Audrey, Bishopville; daughters, Elva (Mrs. David Peach), Falmouth; Ella (Mrs. Douglas Young), Hantsport; and Mary (Mrs. David Robarts), Hantsport; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; brother Lloyd Crowell, Summerville.

He was predeceased by brother, Wilfred; sisters, Ola and Marjorie.

Visitation, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in Lohnes-Beazley Funeral Home, Windsor. Funeral service 2 p.m. Saturday in Hantsport Baptist Church, Rev. Dr. John Bartoll officiating. Interment in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport.5
