Obituary from The Vancouver Sun (Vancouver, British Columbia), 17 March 1998:
BEZANSON -- Jim Robillard died in Evergreen House, March 12, 1998, age 85, after a 5 year struggle. Survived by his loving and caring wife Marjorie. Jim was an avid skier, sailor and hunter, and the winner of awards in the field of wildlife conservation. He collected antique weapons, and as owner and skipper of "Maratea", was a WVYC Member.

"He did everything first-class," says Marjorie. "There wasn't a lazy bone in his body. He did almost everything he wanted to do - except the African safari. As owner of J R. Bezanson Millworks, Jim was responsible for creating a great many of the commercial hotels and store interiors in Vancouver. He helped many people on a personal level, including the Publisher of this paper.

"I'll miss him," says Marjorie. "His will to live amazed me, but the last five and a half years were very hard. They were wonderful to him at Evergreen House."

Jim is also survived by his three daughters, Gail, Denise and Sherry, and granddaughter Jillian. There will be no funeral or memorial service, at Jim's request.9
