Bessie Mildred Bezanson was born on 31 August 1915 at Waterville, Nova Scotia.1,3 She appeared on the census of 1921 at Waterville, Nova Scotia, in the household of Walter S. Bezanson and Minnie Swinimer with Ernest Clifford Bezanson, Lottie May Bezanson, Walter Rawleigh Bezanson, James A. Bezanson and Mary Vaughan.3 Bessie Mildred Bezanson married Orick Ernest Killen on 27 June 1935 at Hants County, Nova Scotia. She was 19. He was 25.4,2 Bessie Mildred Bezanson died on 3 August 1998 at Moncton City Hospital, Moncton, New Brunswick, at age 82.5 She was buried on 6 August 1998 in Grey's Island Cemetery, Hillsborough, New Brunswick.6,5

KILLEN, Bessie M. - Hillsborough, N.B., died August 3, 1998, in Moncton City Hospital.
Born in Upper Vaughan, Hants Co., she was a daughter of the late Walter and Minnie (Swinamer) Bezanson. She was a homemaker and was retired from T. Eaton Co. She was a member of First Hillsborough United Baptist Church; member of Silver Chords Choir; lifetime member of Hillsborough Women's Institute, and past grand chief and member of Pythian Sisters, Jenny Miller Temple 20. She was also a member of Hillsborough Mixed Bowling League. Bessie was very active in her church and her community.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother and sister and will be sadly missed by sons, Ernest and wife Rose Anne, Wilmot; Dwaine and wife Doris, Hillsborough, N.B; sister, Lottie Rawding, Middleton; grandchildren, Deane (Isabel), Larry (Debbie), Tim, Mark (Beth); great-grandchildren, Alicia, Keath, Amanda, Samantha, Zachary, Abigail; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Orrick; brothers, Ernest, Raleigh; granddaughter, Natalie.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. today, August 6, in First Hillsborough United Baptist Church, Rev. Dean MacDonald officiating. Following the service, the family will be meeting relatives and friends for refreshments and further fellowship at the Family's Life Centre in the church. Interment will be in Greys Island Cemetery, Hillsborough.5
