COLLICUTT, Neil Edward - 91, Marriott's Cove, Lunenburg Co., died October 7, 2007, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Neil was born in Marriott's Cove, a son of Ralph and Katie A. (Bezanson) Collicutt. In his earlier years, he owned and operated N.E. Collicutt grocery store in Marriott's Cove and later was caretaker on Shaw's Island until he retired.

He is survived by his daughter, Doreen (Bill) Rhuland, Marriott's Cove; grandchildren, Katherine (Andy) Sinnis, Cheryl Ann (Alex) Chafe, Chester Basin; Andrea (George) Boutilier, British Columbia; five great-granddaughters, a great-grandson, and a great great-grandson; sister, Annie Barkhouse, Marriott's Cove.

Neil was predeceased by his wife, Marjorie (Barkhouse); brothers, George, Herb, Lou and Fred.

Visitation will be held Wednesday 7-9 p.m. in Davis Funeral Home, Chester. The funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in St. John's Anglican Church, Chester Basin, Rev. Bonnie Baird officiating. Burial to follow in Western Shore Cemetery.1

BARKHOUSE, Annie May- Marriott's Cove, Lunenburg Co., passed away peacefully October 30, 2009, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, at the age of 87.

Born in Marriott's Cove, she was the only daughter of Ralph and Katie (Bezanson) Collicutt and the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Annie is survived by her nieces, Doreen Rhuland, Heather Dean, Marsha Barkhouse, Carolyn Stevens, Wanda Hatt and Carolyn Barkhouse; nephews, Kimber Collicutt, Andrew Collicutt, Wayne Barkhouse, John Barkhouse and Tony Barkhouse and her sister-in-law, Barbara Collicutt.

She was predeceased by her husband, Donald; brothers, George, Herbert, Louis, Neil and her twin brother, Fred; nephews, Gary and George Collicutt. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Chester United Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Green officiating. Burial will follow in Pinehill Cemetery.1

COLLICUT, Frederick I. - 71, Bridgewater, died March 5, 1994, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.

Born in Marriotts Cove, Lunenburg County, he was a son of the late Ralph and Katie (Bezanson) Collicut. He was one of Nova Scotia's leading Lincoln-Mercury salesmen for over 40 years. He was co-founder of Collicut's Coastal Classics, where he was active with his son Andrew until the time of his death. He was an auto enthusiast and animal lover.

He is survived by his wife, the former Barbara Hirtle; son, Andrew, Lunenburg; twin sister, Annie (Mrs. Donald Barkhouse), Marriotts Cove; two brothers, Herbert, Neil, both of Marriotts Cove.

He was predeceased by two brothers, George, Louis.

Cremation will take place under the direction of Davis Funeral Home, Chester. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. John's Anglican Church, Lunenburg, Rev. Fred Hiltz and Rev. Harry Corbin officiating. Burial will be at a later date.3
