BEZANSON, Aubrey Reid - 75, Beaverdam, passed away November 13, 2002, in Dartmouth General Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Sheet Harbour, he was a son of Jean (Kenney) and the late Parker Bezanson. Aubrey was a retired chef for C.N. and VIA Rail. He and his wife, Marjorie, lived many years in Lake Echo. They moved to Eastern Shore in 1993 and took quiet pride in their home and garden.
Surviving are daughter, Janet; sons, Vincent, Robert and Joseph; stepchildren, Jeanette Burke, John (Judy) Bond; brothers, St. Clair (Doreen), Carl (Doreen); sisters, Agnes (Reg) Dorey, Bernice (Gordon) Spears and Sylvia (Otis) Keddy; stepgrandchildren, Marjorie (Charles) Naugle, Roger Burke; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Marjorie (Bond); sister, Sigrid Kaiser; sons, John and Douglas. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place 1 p.m. Friday in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, Rev. Michael Mugford officiating. Burial to take place in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow in the funeral home. Aubrey is now at peace with his beloved Marjorie.2

Una Bernice (Bezanson) Spears, 93, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2019 at Bissett Court Shannex, Cole Harbour.
Bernice was born in Sheet Harbour on January 7, 1926, the eldest child of Parker and Jean (Kenney) Bezanson.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Gordon Spears; her daughters, Rev. Heather Card, Jacqueline (Lloyd) Hogan; her sons, Cecil (Debra), Sheldon (Monica), Carroll (Susan), Mark (Hilton). She is also survived by brothers, St. Clair and Carl; sisters, Sylvia Keddy and Agnes Dorey. Bernice was predeceased by her first husband Howard Spears, an infant daughter, brother Aubrey, sister Sigrid Kaiser, and sons-in-law, Kenneth Miller and Lloyd Card.
Bernice was a loving and generous wife, mother and grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. After having worked for a number of years as a cook at the Sheet Harbour Motel and the Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital she had the opportunity to return to school and obtain her cooking diploma. Visitors to her home always enjoyed the benefits of Bernice's culinary skills.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the management and staff at Bissett Court for their loving care.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life to be held at a later date.1
