Roscoe Maurice Brown was born on 11 December 1927.1 He married Nellie Hiltz.1 Roscoe Maurice Brown married Marguerite Lightfoot.1 Roscoe Maurice Brown died on 18 March 2008 at Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton, Nova Scotia, at age 80.2 He was buried on 22 March 2008 in Church Grove Cemetery, Melvern Square, Nova Scotia.2

BROWN, Roscoe Maurice - 80, Auburn, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2008, in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton.
Born in the Forties, Lunenburg Co., he was a son of the late Carey and Annie (Bezanson) Brown. Roscoe owned and operated an Irving Service Station in Aylesford for over 30 years. He enjoyed working in the woods and loved horses. Roscoe spent a lot of time at the Annapolis Valley Exhibition watching the horse and oxen pulls. He was a very loving father and grandfather who will be sadly missed.
He is survived by his wife, the former Marguerite Lightfoot; daughter, Patricia (Darrell) Walker, Wilmot; sons, Peter (Audrey), Timothy (Cheryl), both of Wilmot; Ivan (Linda), North River, Lunenburg Co; Charles (Pam), Port George; sisters, Gladys Herbert, Berwick; Norma (Glen) Stoddard, Harmony; Evelyn Burgoyne, Kentville; grandchildren, June, Matthew, Amy, Kari, Jason, Lori, Candice, Christopher, Kailey, Ryan, Teri-Ann; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Mackenzie, Logan, Simon and Peyton, and close family friend, Roland O'Brien, Bridgewater.
He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Nellie Hiltz; brothers, Millege, Clyde, Paul, and Morley. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 22, in Melvern Square Baptist Church, Melvern Square, Rev. Sharon Budd officiating. Interment will be in Church Grove Cemetery, Melvern Square.2

BURGOYNE, Evelyn Olive Age 85, of Kentville, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2016 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in the The Forties, she was a daughter of the late Carey Brown and Annie (Bezanson) (Gates) Brown. She enjoyed being a homemaker and was a member of the Aaldersville Community Club and the New Ross Garden Club.
She is survived by daughter, Kathryn 'Kathy' (Kenneth) Wolodka, Kentville; son, Brian (Cynthia DeWinter), Cambridge; grandchildren, Tara (Kevin Morrison), Jessica and Brittany; great-grandchildren, Ricky (Katrina) and Hannah; great greatgrandson, Ian; sister, Norma Stoddart, Harmony.
