BEZANSON (Croft), Flora Belle - 81, passed away in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII, on May 29, 2006.
Born in Necum Teuch, she was a daughter of the late John Clarence and Mary Myrtle Heath Croft. She was a member of St. John Anglican Church for many years. She lived most of her life in Necum Teuch with her family. In 1990, she moved to Halifax to make it her home. She then was a member of Trinity Church in Halifax and for many years sang in the Trinity Choir.
Surviving are daughters, Katherine Bezanson, Halifax; Heather Belle Croft, New Chester; brothers, John Elmer Croft and family, Toronto; Daniel Louis Croft (Joyce), Necum Teuch; sisters, Lucille Margaret Graham and family, Ontario; Myrtle Irene Hodder (Maxwell), Liscomb; Ruth Madeline Bliss (Donald), Halifax; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunt, uncles; grandchildren, Brent Allan Croft and Leeta Dawn, New Chester.
She was predeceased by brothers, Edgar Earnest Croft and Clarence Earl Croft. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 1, in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, where the family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service.2

Herbert Ellsworth Bezanson was also known as Erbie Ellsworth Bezanson.3,2 He was born on 3 June 1912 at Ecum Secum, Nova Scotia.1,2 He appeared on the census of 1921 at New Chester, Nova Scotia, in the household of James Calvin Bezanson and Eliza Frances Fleet with James Elbridge Bezanson, Laura Florence Bezanson, Alexander Karl Bezanson, Halia Frances Bezanson and Chester Reuben Bezanson.4 Herbert Ellsworth Bezanson married Maxine Doris Gammon on 18 September 1947 at Port Dufferin, Nova Scotia. He was 35. She was 17.3,2 The children listed here are from page 211 of Bezansons from Nova Scotia. There is another list on page 132, but those appear to be the children of Herbert's brother Chester.5 Herbert Ellsworth Bezanson died on 29 April 2004 at Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital, Sheet Harbour, Nova Scotia, at age 91.6 He was buried on 8 May 2004 in St. James Cemetery, Port Dufferin, Nova Scotia.6

In her earlier years Maxine worked at Morse Tea Company and Moirs Chocolate Factory for several years, and then as a homemaker the rest of her life.

Allan Chester Bezanson
Age 68, New Chester, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2020 in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in New Chester on March 11, 1952, he was a son of the late Chester and Irene Bezanson.
Allan was a long-time employee of the Halifax Herald until he made a career change to finishing concrete while working for Ocean Contractors Ltd. The last few years Allan spent time on the water with his late brother-in-law, Harold Pottie, as a deckhand lobster fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary (Pottie); his son, Travis (Amanda) and daughter, Katrina (Jerry). Grampy will be missed by his grandchildren, Mitchel, Megan, Matthew; and all of his fur-grandbabies, Apollo, Tucker, Tessa, Axel, Terra, Tater, Hank and Rose.
He was predeceased by brother, Loman Bezanson.
Allan had a profound love for the outdoors and just being with his loved ones.
A heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nursing staff of St. Martha's, Antigonish, for their care and compassion of Allan during his stay with them. Cremation has taken place and as per Allan's request, there will be no service.2
