Died August 26, 1974
79 Years
Although O'Vedia ("Veda") was born and raised in Omaha, after she married Burton C. she had to become naturalized to regain her rights as a citizen of the U.S.A. In the height of World War I it was declared that all citizens married to "foreigners" automatically lost the citizenship. O'Vedia Djureen married a Canadian -- Burton C. -- so had to start her married life in her birthplace -- as an immigrant. Stan B. 4/26/91.1
