Seabrook, NH — Joan (Nickles) Snow, 80, of Seabrook, N.H. and formerly of Peabody, Mass., died on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at the Jesmond Nursing Home in Nahant. She was the wife of Herbert A. Snow.
She was born in Peabody on May 11, 1934, the daughter of the late Richard and Gladys L. (Anderson) Nickles and had resided in Peabody before moving to Seabrook, N.H., 14 years ago.
Joan had been a foster care mother for over 35 years. She then worked as a teacher’s aide with the City of Peabody School Department and later while living in New Hampshire was a bus monitor. She had been a member of the West Congregational Church and a graduate of Peabody High School.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert of Seabrook, N.H; five sons and four daughters-in-law, Wayne and Jackie Snow of Seabrook. N.H., Mark and Judy Snow of Lynn, U.S. Air Force Major Glenn Snow and Nicole of Virginia, Troy and Elizabeth Snow of Newmarket, N.H. and Mike Bouchard of Harrison, Maine; five daughters and two sons-in-law, Robyn Sweeney, and Wendy and Richard Brennan, all of Salem, Mass., Tammy and Frank Sabino of Peabody, Jillianne Snow of Hooksett, N.H. and Antoinette Snow, 14 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, her three sisters and brothers-in-law, Carol and Louis Thompson and Pam and Peter Hickey, all of Newburyport, and Bonnie and Richard Sullivan of Manchester-by-the-Sea; nephew, Randal Thompson of Danville, N.H. and niece, Dr. Candace Thompson of Gloucester, Predeceased by her grandson, Ryan Brennan of Salem, Mass.
ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial service will be held on Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Peabody.2
