BEZANSON, Harold Keith - 73, Necum Teuch, formerly of New Chester, Guysborough Co., passed away at home on Saturday, January 28, 2006.
Born in New Chester on September 2, 1932, he was a son of the late Elbridge and Drucella (McKinley) Bezanson. He was a heavy machinery operator and was also owner of several businesses during his life. He was an avid sport fisherman and hunter.
He is survived by sons, Jimmy (Susan), Jeddore; Michael (Nancy), East Chezzetcook; Marlow, Lake Echo; and daughter, Caulette Bezanson (Perry), Middle Musquodoboit; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Barbara Oakley, Dartmouth; brothers, Norman (Marion), Dartmouth; Calvin (Beatrice), New Chester; sisters, Bertha (Leslie) Nauffs, Liscombe; Violet (Lorne) Preeper, Caledonia; Judy (Ken) Farris, Guelph, Ont; Bonnie Burke, New Chester; Jeannie Bezanson, Bridgewater; Susan (Terry) Carmichael, Eastern Passage.
He was predeceased by two brothers in infancy.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ecum Secum Funeral Home. A service of prayers for family and friends will be held Thursday, February 2, at 2 p.m. in New Chester School House, followed by a graveside committal in St. James Cemetery, New Chester.4

PREEPER, Lorne Avery - 67, South Brookfield, Queens Co., passed away peacefully October 31, 2006, in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool, surrounded by his family.
Born in Lake Egmont, he was the son of the late Steve and Martha (Sanford) Dillman. He lived and worked in Williams Lake, B.C., for 26 years before retiring to Nova Scotia. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of North Queens Ground Search and Rescue for 20 years.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, the former Violet (Bezanson); stepsons, David (Debbie Murley) Bezanson and Ashley (Roseann) Bezanson, both of South Brookfield; stepdaughters, Brenda Lowe, South Brookfield; Sandra (Ronald) McMullin, Shubenacadie, and Donna (Francis) Boucher, Dartmouth; 14 stepgrandchildren and 12 step great-grandchildren; sister, Hazel (Lionel) Hare, 150 Mile House Lake, B.C; brothers, Edgar (Hilda), Williams Lake, B.C., and Jack (Beth), Shediac, N.B., and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place 7-9 p.m. today in Chandlers' Funeral Home, Liverpool and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, November 2, in Ettingers Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. A funeral service will take place 2 p.m. Friday, November 3, in St. Paul's United Church, Lake Egmont, Rev. Joan Giffen will be officiating.
