     Barbara Gwendolyn Oakley was born on 10 December 1935 at Halifax, Nova Scotia.2 She married Harold Keith Bezanson.1 Barbara Gwendolyn Oakley died on 8 November 2018 at QEII Halifax Infirmary, Halifax, Nova Scotia, at age 82.2

OAKLEY, Barbara Gwendolyn Age 82, of Dartmouth, passed away Thursday November 8, 2018 in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax, after a short, courageous battle with cancer. Barbara was born in Halifax on December 10, 1935. She was a daughter of the late Thomas and Estella (Boutilier) Oakley, both of Halifax. She was a loving, devoted mother, thoughtful and generous to both family and friends.

She leaves behind daughter, Caulette Bezanson (Perry Pye), New Glasgow; sons, James (Susan) Bezanson, New Chester; Harold (Nancy) Bezanson, East Chezzetcook; Marlow Bezanson (Nicole Fredericks), Lake Charlotte; grandaughters, Tina, Sherry, Melinda, Stephanie, Emily and Harmony; grandsons, Keith, Connor and Adam; great-grandchildren, Molly, Joey, Mikayla, Cody, James, Madeleine, Cameron, Liam, Annalea; sisters, Rosealie, Nancy; brothers, Michael and Tommy and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by sisters, Julia, Sylvia; brothers, Joseph, Everette, James and Gordon.

Special thanks to her daughter, Caulette, for her undivided attention to Mom in her final weeks and Mom’s longtime friend, Doris Wournell, for her care and support.

Cremation has taken place. Service for immediate family and friends will take place Wednesday, November 14, at 11 a.m. in St. Peters Roman Catholic Church, Sheet Harbour, Father Fabian officiating. Burial in St. Michaels Catholic Cemetery, Quoddy.2
