Funeral services for Grace Bezanson, 81, of Lufkin will be held Sunday, December 2, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Andy Pittman officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Mrs. Bezanson was born July 18, 1926 in Wells, Texas to Clara (Adams) and Edward Anderson, and died Friday, November 30, 2007 in a local hospital. Mrs. Bezanson had resided in Lufkin for the past 57 years. She was a realtor, was president of Elite Cleaners and was the assistant buyer for The Place Boutique. Mrs. Bezanson was a golfer and was a member of the Pine Tree Garden Club and Lufkin's First Baptist Church. Mrs. Bezanson was a 10 year breast cancer survivor. She was a loving wife, the best mother in the world, and dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Bezanson was known for her kind spirit. She was loved by everyone who met her.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Charles "Chuck" Bezanson of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Dianne (Charter) Bezanson of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Paul Campbell of Houston; grandson, Blake Bezanson of Lufkin; granddaughter and husband, Jennifer and Bob Johnson of Dallas; great-grandchildren, Olivia Rose Johnson and Vivian Grace Johnson, both of Dallas; brother, Fred Anderson of San Marcos; special friends, Charlcye Colburn and Robbi and Betty Warren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Bezanson Pitts; parents, Clara and Edward Anderson; sister, Margie Mayer; and brother, J.E. "Bubba" Harrisson. Pallbearers will be Robert Warren, Mike English, Paul Campbell, Greg Matchett, Steve New and Bob Johnson.2
