According to the story, Keith Owen Simes was committed for trial on a charge of bigamy. According to the court statements, Simes married Elsie Marguerite Bezanson while he was in Canada training for duty, but then married Betty Rock in June, 1947.3

Audrey is survived by her husband of fifty years, Ronald; sons, Wayne (Sandra) and David (Carol); grandchildren, Robert, Krista, Tyler, Alysha and Brody; sisters, Mona (Dean) Reeves and Veronica Reeves of Nova Scotia; sister-in-law Elaine Keating of Pickering, Ontario; and her nieces, nephews and their families who will greatly miss her.

Audrey was predeceased by her son, Brian; mother and father, Henry and Ethel Bezanson; brother, Orval Bezanson; sisters, Grace Young, Elsie L'Herault, and Rhoda Kosowan of Toronto; and brothers- in-law, Blaine Reeves of Nova Scotia and John Kosowan of Toronto. Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway's Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E.) today, August 31, 2009 at 2:30 p.m.2

Born in New Ross, he was a son of the late Freeman and Ellen (Cleveland) Hiltz. He had been employed at Ross Farms, New Ross for several years.

He is survived by his wife, the former S. Jane Bezanson; two daughters, Lydia (Mrs. John Macdonald), Halifax; Margaret (Mrs. Lindsay Gates), Timberlea, Halifax County; sister, Mrs. Hazel Bezanson, Dalhousie; brother, Vincent, Fraxville, Lunenburg County; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, Alexander in infancy; sister, Ethel. The body is in W.C. Hiltz Funeral Home, Kentville.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday in St. Augustine's Anglican Church, The Forties, Rev. Gordon Neish officiating. Burial will be in church cemetery. Donations may be made to Alzheimers disease unit at Grand View Manor, Berwick.3

Surviving are daughters, Lydia (Mrs. John MacDonald), Halifax; Margaret (Mrs. Lindsay Gates), Timberlea; sisters, Mary (Mrs. Cecil Daniels), The Forties; Helen (Mrs. Percy Corkum), Auburn; Mrs. Idella Burgher, Musquodoboit; Mrs. Elizabeth Anderson, Chester Basin; brothers, Eric, Aylesford; Ernest, Berwick; grandchildren, John Michael MacDonald, Andrew MacDonald, Stephen MacDonald, Joseph MacDonald, Angela (MacDonald) Comeau, Carla Gates-Morris, Peggy Gates-Hammond and Julie Gates; four great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Alex Hiltz; infant son, Alexander; brothers, Henry and Alfred.

Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today, May 8, in W.C. Hiltz Funeral Parlour, Kentville. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, in St. Augustine's Anglican Church, The Forties, Rev. Gordon Neish officiating. Burial will be in St. Augustine's Church Cemetery, The Forties.6
