Alfred Edward Tattrie was born on 20 October 1872 at Louisville, Nova Scotia.1 He married Edith Hill. Alfred Edward Tattrie died on 1 April 1940 at Nova Scotia at age 67.1 He From: The Tattrie Family of River John, N.S. by Gordon MacKay Haliburton, Page 103 - Alfred Edward Tattrie was born at Louisville on 20 October 1872. He joined his older siblings at Lowell, Mass., and lived and worked there many years. He married his sister's sister-in-law, Edith Hill, a daughter of Brum Hill who was in the lumbering business in Weymouth, N.S. He was persuaded by some of his relatives to return to farm at Louisville, so returned to Nova Scotia in 1924. He actually bought a farm at the nearby village of Denmark, and here he brought up his family. He was later to feel that the return to Nova Scotia was a mistake. He died 1 April 1940. She atteneded the former Provincial Normal College in Truro and taught in various schools throughout Nova Scotia, including Lorne. She was a member of St. Columba United Church, Hopewell, and a life member of Golden Links UCW. Surviving are her husband, Andrew, daughters, Edith (Edie) Mrs. Donald Saunders Jr), Union Centre; Linda (Mrs. Michael Boudreault), Patricia, Montague, P.E.I., seven grandchildren; sisters, Bernice (Mrs. Dudley Mingo), Halifax, Corinne MacLanders, New Glasgow, borther, Edward, British Columbia. She was predeceased by brother Earl. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today, 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Sunday in H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton. Funeral 2 p.m. Monday in St. Columba United Church, Hopewell, Rev. Marjory Cornelius officiating. Burialin church cemetery. Donations to St. Columba United Church fund.2

Earl Grant Tattrie was born on 17 April 1915 at Lowell, Massachusetts.1 He married Marilyn Jean King in December 1958. He was 43.1 Earl Grant Tattrie married Ruby Currie. Lowell 17 April, 1915. He studied at the Nova Scotia Normal College and taught school for a number of years, then ser4ved in the R.C.A.F. during WWII. Later he taught former servicemen at the Ryerson Polytechnical Institute in Toronto, and from there went into what is now Canada Manpower and Immigration. He took an early retirement in 1975. He married (1) Ruby Currier of Fairview, PEI, who died in Toronto 28 Aug. 1958. (2) in Dec. 1958 Marilyn Jean King of Aurora, Ontario. They lived at Sharon, Ontario and had motored to Florida for a visit when he died there, at Panama city, on 8 Jan. 1976. He is buried at Newmarket, Ontario. He was intending to restore and make habitable the old homestead at Louisville. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------. He lived at Sharon, Ontario.
