     Obituary:
Mary Louise Smith Morris passed away on Oct. 5, 2013, at Stillwater Medical Center, surrounded by her family as she passed from this earthly home to her mansion in heaven with her Lord. We are celebrating this life journey 10 a.m. Wednesday at Solid Rock Church with Pastor Dan Yankunas officiating. She will be laid to rest at Clarkston Cemetery, Coyle. Mary Louise was born on Jan. 18, 1924, in New York to Vera Mae Bezanson. She moved to Oklahoma, when she was 3 and she was raised by many other family friends. This was to be the beginning of the difficult raising, which later in life was the foundation to her strong core family values. She met and married the love of her life Drue Morris on April 4, 1942, in Ada, they were married 52 years and had 4 children.

Survivors include a sister, Betty Coons of Wichita, Kan; daughters, JoAnn Pendleton and husband Mike of Stillwater, Linda Hicks and husband Bill of Stillwater, daughters-in-law Dorothy Morris of Stillwater and Donna Morris of Stillwater; grandchildren include Connie Hite and husband John from Glencoe, Tony Pendleton and wife Daniel of Stillwater, Sue Stokes and husband Rickey of Glencoe, Craig Hicks and wife Pam of Lewisville, Texas, Lou Ann Grantham and husband Virgil of Eufaula, and Leslie Gillpatrick of Stillwater, Renee Reichman of Stillwater, and Regan Reichman of Stillwater, 16 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sister Jessie Ann Flynt, mother Vera Flynt, brother, Freddy Flynt, husband, Drue Morris, son Kenneth Drue Morris, son James "Jim" Phillip Morris, grandson Rion Reichman.

Mary stayed home to raise her children until 1955. She went to work for Simack as a meat wrapper. From there, she worked at the old M & W and Humpty Dumpty as a meat wrapper as well. It was at this time she started her cleaning business where she cleaned for doctors and dentists offices and for Quapaw Cement company. She retired at 62 when her husband's health started to fail. She stayed home and took very good care of him until he passed. She always kept busy raising a big garden, tending to her yard, raising her wildflowers, canning vegetables, helping others and babysitting grandchildren. She was very active in her family role and she was the foundation of a very strong family. She loved to entertain with her big dinners and she loved her family. Mary was a very strong and independent person that took care of others. She showed her love for people by helping them.

Some of the life lessons that mother passed to her children and her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren was her love of the Lord. Love your family and take care of them, be frugal with your money, always do what is right, don't lie, cheat or steal, if you don't have something nice to say keep your mouth shut. Work hard it doesn't matter where you started it matters where you finished. Help others, spend quality time with your family laughing and crying together and enjoying them for they are your blood relatives and get along with them. Learn to love each other in spite of our differences.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Westhaven Nursing Home for all the love, compassion and care she received while residing there. She was blessed with caregivers who loved and adored her, and even called her Grandma Mary.

A special thank you to Stillwater Medical Center and the staff for their support, care and attention we all received during our short stay on Medical Floor. The dedication they each showed to do their job as a team did not go un-noticed.2
