Jean Elvia Fisher (nee Bezanson)
July 3, 1929 – June 14, 2022
In loving memory
Jean’s family is heartbroken to share that Jean has gone to be reunited with Roy on June 14th, at the age of 92.
Jean is predeceased by her husband of 69 years Roy, daughter Karolyn and grandsons Trever, Troy, and Cody.
She is survived by her sister Shirley Bezanson, children Wade (Verna), Blair (Tammy), Greg (Lynda), Melody (Andrew) and Kirk (Deenie), 12 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren as well as a multitude of people who call her Grannie. She also cared deeply for family friend Ralph Reinprecht, who came to visit her faithfully every Friday.
Jean, husband Roy and son Wade moved to B.C., first to Forest Grove and then Lac La Hache, from Musquodobit, Nova Scotia in 1956. Once in B.C. they increased their family to six children and have been in Williams Lake since 1971.
Jean’s love for her children and grandchildren was immeasurable and ever present. She kept busy caring for her own children as well as many others in their neighbourhood. She had a deep love of birds, whether they be her pets, or the ones she loved to watch outside her window.
A service will be held at the Williams Lake cemetery on Friday, June 24th at 11:00 a.m. with a gathering for friends and family at the Royal Canadian Legion (downstairs) at noon.2
