     Jean Frances Bezanson was born on 3 June 1926 at Halifax, Nova Scotia.3,1 She married Earl Cooper.2 Jean Frances Bezanson died on 12 June 2019 at North Haven Manor, Lewisporte, Newfoundland and Labrador, at age 93.1

Jean Frances Cooper (Bezanson)

Age 93, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2019 in North Haven Manor, Lewisporte, N.L., where she resided. Born in Halifax in 1926, she was the eldest daughter of the late William and Iva (Baker) Bezanson.

Jean lived in Halifax most of her life, moving to Newfoundland with her son and daughter-in-law in 2006. In her younger years, she was a skilled seamstress and worked for New York Dress Shop and Simpsons Store, Halifax. She developed a love for movies, film and music at an early age as her father was a projectionist for the Capitol Theatre, Halifax. In her retirement she and her husband Earle lived at Northwood Centre, Halifax where she hosted a music and talk show on Northwood TV. Jean will be remembered for her kind spirit, love of food and social gatherings with friends and family.

Besides her parents, Jean was predeceased by her husband, Earle; sister, Marion (Carl) Cornelius.

She is survived by her loving son, Pat (Della) Cooper, Gander, N.L; sisters, Betty (David) Marriott, Beaver Bank; Dianna (George) Roberts, Lake Ainslie; Joan (Michael) Wall, Ontario; Helen DeBaie, Eastern Shore; and brother, Bernard (Betty) Bezanson, Mira. She will be remembered by grandchildren, Shawn (Kim), Yvette, April; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place. Graveside service will be held at a later date in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville. Arrangements under the direction of Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, Lewisport, N.L., where online condolences can be made to the family.1

Thelma Magdalene (Knickle) Bezanson
     Thelma Magdalene Knickle was born on 1 December 1923 at Blue Rocks, Nova Scotia.2 She married Robert Borden Guilford Bezanson on 11 March 1943. She was 19. He was 22.1 Thelma Magdalene Knickle died on 18 December 2009 at Mahone Nusring Home, Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia, at age 86.2

Thelma Magdalene Bezanson, 86, of First South and Lunenburg, passed away, Friday, December 18, 2009 at the Mahone Nursing Home, Mahone Bay.

Born in Blue Rocks, she was a daughter of the late James Barnabas and Lillian Ruth Luzetta (Greek) Knickle.

Thelma was educated in the Blue Rocks School where she completed grade eight. She married Robert Borden Bezanson on March 11, 1943 in St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Blue Rocks. A devoted housewife and homemaker she has enjoyed hooking mats, embroidery work, reading, baking, cooking, hymns and of course her grandchildren. Thelma felt her greatest accomplishment in life was raising her family. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, First South.

She is survived by daughters, Linda Wentzell (Byron Morash), Lunenburg; Janet (Durling Deal) Dayspring; grandchildren, Michael Wentzell, Angela Aulenback, Jennifer Wentzell, Cory Deal, Pamela Deal, great-grandchildren, Amanda, Adam, Jeremy, Nikita, Demitra, Emma Marie, Sophie and Kiersten, sister, Marjorie (Harold) Romkey, Garden Lots and brother, Dawson (Eldora) Knickle, Lunenburg.

She was predeceased by her husband Robert Borden in 1995, and a sister Evangeline Conrad.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Thelma during visitation at the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213, Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg, Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. Funeral Service to celebrate Thelmas life will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, First South, Rev. Vivian S. Roberts, officiating. Interment will be in First South Cemetery, First South.2

     Charlotte Beatrice Grace Bezanson was born on 29 October 1922.1 She married William J. Campbell on 16 August 1942. She was 19.1 Charlotte Beatrice Grace Bezanson died on 31 December 2003 at Kingston General Hospital, Kingston, Ontario, at age 81.2 She was buried on 4 January 2004 in Glenhaven Memorial Gardens, Kingston, Ontario.2

CAMPBELL, Charlotte Beatrice Grace nee Bezanson Passed away suddenly at the Kingston General Hospital on New Year's Eve, surrounded by the love of her children and son-in-law.

Predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years, William Campbell, and her brother Borden Bezanson, and her parents Grace and Gilbert Bezanson, late of Lunenburg, N.S. Loving mother of Robert Campbell and his wife Louise of Cornwall and Linda Hetherington and her husband Brian of Sunbury. Dear sister of Frances Byers and her husband Angus and brother Douglas Bezanson and his wife Joan, all of Lunenburg. Doting Nanny of Steven Campbell and his wife Peggy, Ryan Campbell and his friend Linda, Terry Hetherington and his wife Joanne and Lisa Gill and her husband Gareth. She will live on in her great grandchildren Taylor, Jessica, Colton, Jacob, Isaac, Abbey, Emma, Aidan and Natasha. Fondly remembered by William's brothers, sisters and their families, her many nieces, nephews, friends, as well as fellow residents and staff at Trillium Ridge. Resting at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel, Counter Street at Highway 2 on Sunday, January 4, 2004 from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m. A reception will follow in the James Reid Reception Centre. Interment Glenhaven Memorial Gardens.2
