     Alma Bezanson was born on 27 March 1921 at Southvale, Nova Scotia.3,2 Her full name was Dorcas Alma Bezanson.3,2 She married Oran C. Swinemer.2 Alma Bezanson and Oran C. Swinemer had seven children.2 Alma Bezanson was buried in St. Andrew's United Church, Elderbank, Nova Scotia.4 She died on 25 February 2015 at age 93.5

     Obituary, 26 February 2015:
Swinemer, D. Alma – Age 93, a long-time resident of Elderbank, passed away on February 25, 2015. Born March 27, 1921, in Springvale, Colchester Co., she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Elizabeth (Whalen) Bezanson. Alma was known for her beautiful handiwork, as well as her love of music, playing the guitar, organ, and accordion.

She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Lacey (Mel Douglas), Faye (Glenn) Fenrick, Juanita Swinemer (Eugene Barry); her sons, Eric (Ruth), Malcolm (Kate); 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Frances, Joan, Karen and Freda; brother, Harold; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Oran; her son, Emerson; her daughter, Betty Isenor; granddaughters, Judy Lacey and Tasha Miller Browning; brothers, Willie, Ervin, John, Douglas, Lorne; sisters, Eileen, Vera, two sisters in infancy.

Visitation will be Friday from 7-9 p.m. and funeral service will be Saturday at 11 a.m., both in St. Andrew’s United Church, Elderbank, Rev. Dr. Linda Yates officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Elderbank Cemetery.

Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of palliative care in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor.

Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.5
