     Alfred Langille was born on 28 February 1882.¹ He died on 6 March 1909 at age 27.¹ He The Shepherds of Markland by Scott Winston Teal, page 103 has the date of birth for Alfred Langille as 29 February 1882 - but the Family Tree Program will not accept this date, saying that 1882 was not a leap year - I have put in Feb 28th - until I find out differently, - kf From Page 104 in the book - Note: Alfred Langille listed at the bottom of page 103 may not have existed! This information was extracted from a tombstone. Alfred was born February 29, 1882. Leap year did not occur in 1882. It occured in 1876, 1880, 1884 and 1888. I theorize that Alfred dying on March 6, 1909 was actually Charles Collin's father Alfred who may have been born February 29, 1844. A leap year did occur in 1844. I have listed Alfred born in 1845. As I mentioned earlier, the date when only a year is mentioned may vary a year. Alfred left River John as a young man, and went to the South Shore. Here he met his bride to be and lived the rest of his life in Lunenburg County.

     Christopher (Christy Freda) Langille was born on 9 June 1808.¹ He married Lucy Langille.
