PATRIQUIN, MARIAN CHARLOTTE - 91, Tatamagouche, died June 13, 1997 in Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche.
Born in Harmony, Colchester Co., she was a daughter of the late James and Margaret (Watson) Millen. She played the organ at Lake Road Church. she was active in Sharon United Church and was past president of the Jane Bell Unit. She was an active member of Tatamagouche Historical Society. Her work with the genealogy of the Patriquin family was recognized by the Nova Scotia Archives in Halifax and known to Patriquin's all over North America. She was active in the senior citizens organization in Tatamagouche and enjoyed acting in plays and skits in Tatamagouche and in nearby communities. In recent years, she had attended the Church of God in Christ, 2921 Hwy. 6, Tatamagouche.
Surviving are her husband, George, Tatamagouche; sons, Kenneth and wife Jessie, Vernon and wife Shona, all of Tatamagouche; daughter, Verna (Mrs. Reid Lowden), Jackson, Mich; seven grandsons; three granddaughters; five great-grandsons, 12 great-granddaughters, three great-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters. A memorial service and reception will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 17 at the Church of God in Christ in her honour. Burial will be held in Lockerby Cemetery, Tatamagouche, time and date to be decided.1
