BEZANSON, Foster Nathan - 89, Coldbrook, Kings Co., died February 5, 1997, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville.

Born in Aldersville, Lunenburg Co., he was a son of the late James and Martha (Hiltz) Bezanson. He lived in the Valley area most of his life. He was a farmer and a pulpwood dealer.

Surviving are sons, James, Cambridge, Kings Co; Eric, Dartmouth; Elmer, Coldbrook; Donald, Aylesford; Russell, Brooklyn Corner; daughters, Pauline (Mrs. Sheldon Best), Edith (Mrs. Almond Best), Coldbrook; Phyllis (Mrs. Cecil Chase), Aylesford; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, the former Stella Steadman; brothers, Wallace, Everett, Frank; sisters, Edith, Emily, Evelyn, Alice.

Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, funeral 1:30 p.m. Saturday, both in H.C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, Kentville, Rev. Leo Fletcher officiating. Burial in Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville.5

     Henry Hallett Bezanson was born on 3 November 1922.1 He served in the military in World War II and was stationed overseas in England, Italy, France, Belgium and Holland.2 He married Audrey M. Patterson on 23 June 1947. He was 24.1 Henry Hallett Bezanson was a carpenter and structural engineer at CFB Greenwood from 1954 to 1983.2 He died on 26 April 1999 at DVA Unit of Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton, Nova Scotia, at age 76.3,2 He was buried in St. Mary's Cemetery, Auburn, Nova Scotia.4

     Obituary from The Halifax Herald Limited (Halifax, Nova Scotia), 28 April 1999:
BEZANSON, Henry Hallet - 76, Aylesford, Kings Co., died Monday, April 26, 1999, at the DVA Unit of Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton.

Born in the Forties, he was a son of the late Alfred Herman and Mary Elizabeth (Hiltz) Bezanson. He was a veteran of the Second World War and had served overseas in England, Italy, France, Belgium and Holland. For 29 years he was employed as a carpenter and structural engineer at CFB Greenwood, retiring in 1983. He was an avid woodcarver and loved the outdoors. He was a member of St. Mary's Anglican Church, Auburn.

Surviving are his wife, the former Audrey M. Patterson; son, Blaine H. (Nancy), Kingston; daughter, Marlene E. Bezanson, Dartmouth; brothers, Eric, Aylesford; Ernest, Berwick; sisters, Jane Hiltz, Timberlea, Halifax Co; Mary Daniel, Fraxville; Helen (Percy) Corkum, Berwick; Idella Burgher, Musquodoboit Harbour; Elizabeth Anderson, Chester; grandson, Marty Bezanson.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Alfred.

Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. today, April 28, with Royal Canadian Legion service at 7:30 p.m. today, both in H.C. Lindsay's Memorial Chapel, Berwick. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, April 29, in St. Mary's Anglican Church, Auburn, Archdeacon Gordon Redden officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.2
