Obituary from The Halifax Herald Limited (Halifax, Nova Scotia), 2 February 2000:
BEZANSON, Christopher Archibald "Chris" - 40, Middle Musquodoboit, died January 31, 2000.
Born at Middle Musquodoboit, he was the son of Ervine Lenfast and Florence Eileen (Archibald) Bezanson, Glenmore Rd. He attended school at North (elementary) and Musquodoboit Rural High. With an ingenious mechanical aptitude from an early age, Chris developed skills in small motor/engine repair which became his most significant occupation. Formerly he was an employee of Andy's Tire, Truro; KFC, Halifax; Petro Can (Decker's), Middle Musquodoboit; Shubenacadie Co-op; R.G. Matheson Small Motor Repair, Elmsvale; and worked as a general laborer and woodsman. For the past 15 years, he was a self-employed small engine repair person in Elmsvale. Chris was a loyal, determined and independent person known for his kindness and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone he could, no matter what the task. Chris will be sadly missed and dearly remembered by family, relatives and close friends especially, but also by a multitude of other friends and acquaintances; his quick wit, musical talents, smiling charm and big heart won him an ever-widening circle of friends.
He is survived by sisters, Carolyn (Ralph) O'Connell, Dartmouth; Doreen (Grant) Gerlitz, Edmonton, Alta; Carla (Robin) Matheson, Elmsvale; Dale (Robert "Bob") MacDonald, Truro; Teena (John) Dickey, Centre Musquodoboit; Theresa Bezanson (Brian Johnson), Upper Musquodoboit; brother, Tony (Stella Currie) Bezanson, Glenmore; 11 nephews; six nieces.
