Born in Middle Musquodoboit, he was a son of the late John and Ethel (Henry) Bezanson.
He is survived by sisters, Maxine, Darlene, Colleen; brothers, Rod, Brian; brother-in-law, Dave Bell; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by sister, Lila Bell and two brothers in infancy. By John's request, no formal funeral service will be held.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 7th from 7-9 pm in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro. Private family burial in Riverside Cemetery, Upper Stewiacke.1

DEWAR, Daniel Creighton - 80, 35 Andy's Ave., Bible Hill, died suddenly at home on Sunday, June 1, 2003.
Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Hugh and Prudence (Bezanson) Dewar. He was a very active member all his life with the Truro Corp of The Salvation Army. He entertained with his singing and guitar at various nursing homes and coffee houses. He also played and sang with the church and at various weddings and funerals throughout the years. He was an associate of the C.N.I.B. Both Creighton and his late wife Hazel used to take in foster children which they enjoyed very much. They took in over 52 foster children altogether.
He is survived by his sons, Ross, Bible Hill; Wayne, Brantford, Ont; brother, Carson (Etta) Dewar, Brookside; close friend, Nora McNutt, Bible Hill.
He was predeceased by his wife, the former Hazel Maude McNutt; brothers, Ronald, Walter, Lawrence, John and Ivan in infancy.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Mattatall Funeral Home, Truro. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in The Salvation Army Church, Outram Street, Truro with Major Linda McNutt officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall. Burial will then be held in Robie Street Cemetery, Truro.1

Surviving are his wife, the former Joan McNutt; daughters, Jane Buote and husband Allan, Ottawa; Lorraine, Halifax; Rhonda Graham and husband Logan, Upper Stewiacke; son, Steven and wife Krista, Gander, Nfld; brothers, Creighton, Bible Hill; Carson, Upper Brookside; grandchildren, Karyn, David, Danny, Katie, Devin, Brayden, whom he dearly loved.
