     Carroll Oliver Bezanson was also known as Carroll Acker. He was born circa 1922 at Dalhousie, Nova Scotia.1 He died on 1 May 1976 at Dalhousie, Nova Scotia.1

     Obituary from The Chronicle-Herald (Halifax, Nova Scotia), 3 May 1976:
DALHOUSIE, KINGS COUNTY - Carroll Oliver Bezanson, 54, died Saturday at home. Born in Dalhousie, he was a son of the late Edward and Mabel (Feindel) Bezanson.

Surviving are four brothers, Beverley, New Ross; Albert, Dalhousie; Nelson and James, both of Lake Paul; three sisters, Bertha (Mrs. Otis Veinot), Lunenburg County; Elizabeth (Mrs. Clayton Joudrey), Lake Paul; and Beatrice (Mrs. Howard Arenburg), Waterville.

The body is at the H. C. Lindsay Funeral Home, Berwick. Service will be held 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Dalhousie Anglican Church, Rev. Gordon Neish officiating. Burial will be in Dalhousie cemetery.1

Notes

  • I am not 100% confident that Carroll Oliver Bezanson's father was James Edward Bezanson. For a long time, I had Herbert Whitfield Acker as his father, and his name as "Carroll Acker". Sadly, my record keeping was not very good and I am not sure where I got that information. For the current entry, Carroll's obituary has driven me to record his name and parentage as you see here.

         Carroll's name is not included in James Edward Bezanson's obituary which casts some doubt about Carroll's parentage but perhaps only indicates an estrangement or mistake.
