Obituary from Middleton Funeral Home (Middleton, Nova Scotia):
We the family of Vance G. Bezanson announces with great sadness his passing on September 27, 2022, in Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Middleton after a lengthy battle with cancer. Vance was born September 10, 1948, to the late Ralph E Bezanson and the late Alma B. Bezanson (Veinotte).

Vance worked at McMaster mill later know as Kingston Lumber for 30 years as a heavy equipment operator. After the closure of Kingston Lumber, he went on to H.M. MacCarthy Car Sales in Auburn, NS. for 20 years as a handyman. Work was one thing he never shied away from even when he was sick, he would go saying he felt better when he worked. Vance had a big heart and would do anything, if possible, for anyone.

The proudest days of Vance’s life aside from the birth of our children was the birth of his grandchildren, Jennae and Coen. He loved them mor then life itself. Jennae will miss dress-up with Grampy and playing cards, and Coen, Grampy never got to take you fishing but you will remember rides on the lawn tractor with Grampy and the rides in his truck. A lot of happy times were had. Our love for Vance will live on forever and he never be forgotten.

Vance was predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Alma, son, Jeffery; brothers, Harold, Alfred; sisters, Amy and Pearl.

Vance is survived by his wife of 47 years, Janet (McBride), daughter, Tammy (Fitzroy) Cross, Greenwood, son Vance Jr., (Terri), Halifax, grandchildren, Jennae, Coen, step grandsons, Kevin, Kamar; sister, Doris Arenburg; brother, Joe, Kingston, and Lawson (Mary), Windsor.

The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors on the medical floor at Soldiers Memorial for the care and kindness Vance received. Cremation has taken place and there will be no service or visitation at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home.3
