Obituary from White Family Funeral Homes (Kentville, Nova Scotia):
Everett Laurie Arnburg – 83, of Kentville, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020 in the Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville. He was born in Kentville on July 30, 1937 as a son of the late Albert and Alice (Bezanson) Arnburg.

Everett began his working career at Cornwallis Supplies and T.P. Calkin's, and later worked many years at Sears in Kentville, followed by working with his brother, Gerald as a carpenter until his retirement. In his younger years, he played various sports including hockey, broomball and bowling. Many may remember 'Elbows Arnburg' on the ice. Everett enjoyed spending time with family, playing cards and washer toss, once lawn darts were banned and the horseshoes became too heavy! He could often be found in his workshop, woodworking or splitting kindling. He loved the outdoors through camping, gardening, hunting and fishing. His biggest love of his life was his wife of 53 years, June. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, provider, and friend.

He is survived by sons, Laurie (Tina Scott), Black Rock; Donnie (Michelle Johnstone), New Minas; Dale (Sharon), Coldbrook; grandchildren, Sarah (Adam) Janes, Michael, Kendall and Mitchell Arnburg; several great grandchildren, sisters, Sheila (Terry) Vidito; Marie; Doreen Arnburg; Marjorie (Phillip) Huntley; Ethel (John) Black; brothers, Lloyd, Gerald, Ernest and Stanley; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by his wife June; sisters, Bernice, Jean and brothers, Lawrence, Arnold, Shirley, and grandson Oliver.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A private funeral service will be held in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville.
