     Obituary from The Bridgewater Bulletin (Bridgewater, Nova Scotia), 16 November 1955:
Warren J. Bezanson, of Lower Rose Bay, listed drowned when the dredge "Fundy" sank in the St. Lawrence River, on Sunday, November 6, was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Caleb Bezanson, of Kingsburg. Mr. Bezanson followed the sea as a fisherman and on coastal schooners. The past few years he was engaged as cook on the dredge.

Mr. Bezanson is survived by his wife, the former Bessie Risser, of LaHave Islands; brothers, George, of Kingsburg; and William, of Halifax; sisters, Ira, Beatrice and Naomi (married), of Halifax; and Sadie (married) of Bridgewater. Predeceasing him were Albert, who died at home; and Harry, drowned at sea many years ago and a sister, Winnie, of Halifax. There also survives a half-brother, Guildford, of First South and a half-sister, Gertrude, of Halifax.5

He was 25.1,2 Bessie Madeline Risser became a widow upon the death of her husband Warren Alonzo Bezanson on 6 November 1955 at at sea.2 Bessie Madeline Risser died on 18 June 1994 at Glades Nursning Home, Halifax, Nova Scotia.3 She was buried on 22 June 1994 in Lakeview Cemetery, Kingsburg, Nova Scotia.3

Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Dana L. Sweeney Funeral Home, Lunenburg. A graveside committal service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Lake View Cemetery, Lower Kingsburg, Rev. Laurence Mawhinney officiating.3

BEZANSON, Iva Gloria - 96, passed away peacefully August 16, 2003, in The Birches Nursing Home, Musquodoboit Harbour, with daughters Joan and Helen by her side, who were with her constantly for the past week.

Born in West Jeddore, she was a daughter of the late Ira and Lydia Baker. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Prior to residing in The Birches, she worked for Floyd Webber in Upper Lakeville with Helen for 35 years, where she was an excellent housekeeper.

She is survived by daughters, Jean Cooper, Marion Cornelius, Joan (Michael) Wall, Dianna (George) Roberts, Betty (David) Marriott, and Helen DeBaie; son, Bernard (Bette) Bezanson. She leaves 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by half-sisters and brothers, Donald, John, Edie, Marie Logie, Victoria, B.C; stepsister, Thelma.

Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in Rowlings Funeral Home, Musquodoboit Harbour. Funeral service 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 19, in Jeddore United Baptist Church. Burial in West Jeddore Baptist Cemetery, with reception following downstairs in the church hall.

BEZANSON, Iva Gloria - 96, passed away peacefully August 16, 2003, in The Birches Nursing Home, Musquodoboit Harbour, the following was regretfully omitted from the obituary: She was predeceased by sisters, Odie Burgwin, Elsie Baker; brothers, Weldon Baker and Gerald Baker; half-brother, Murray Baker.2

Kristiansen, Sadie Louella - 79, of 5565 Cornwallis Street, Halifax, died Saturday in Halifax.

Born in Kingsburg, Lunenburg County, she was a daughter of the late Caleb A. and Mary Alberta (Mader) Bezanson. She was a saleslady in Halifax for several years.

She is survived by a son, Erik, Willimaswood; a sister, Beatrice (Mrs. Robert Soper), New York, and a grandson.

She was predeceased by her husband, Odd Henry, and several brothers and sisters. The body is in R. D. Lindsay Funeral Home, Halifax, where chapel service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m., Rev. Mark Innes officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.1
