Denmark - Raymond James Bezanson, 58, Denmark, Colchester County, died Monday in Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche.

Born in Dalhousie Mountain, Pictou County, he was a son of the late Daniel and Margaret (Lynds) Bezanson. He spent most of his life as a sawyer.

He is survived by his common-law wife, the former Viola Brown; a son, Donald, Revelstoke, B.C; three daughters: Lynda (Mrs Norman MacKenzie), Shubenacadie; Dianne (Mrs Errol Tattrie), Tatamagouche; Wilma (Mrs Paul Langille), Balmoral; 11 grandchildren; four sisters: Cassie (Mrs Alan Gregory), Lyons Brook; Libbie (Mrs Leonard Fraser), New Glasgow; Mrs Mary Hiltz, River John; Annie (Mrs Russell Holt), West Branch.

He was predeceased by two sons: Ross and Elden; three brothers; David, Bill and George. The remains are resting in MacLeod's Funeral Home, River John. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Middleton Union Church. Interment will be in Forest Hill cemetery, Denmark.4

BEZANSON, Helen Maude - 78, Tatamagouche, passed away Friday, December 3, 2004, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro.

Born in Lake Road, Colchester Co., she was a daughter of the late Ben and Elizabeth (Bonnyman) Tattrie. She was a 40 year member of the Freedom Rebekah Lodge No. 62. She liked to knit and make quilts.

She is survived by son, Donald, Revestroke, B.C; daughters, Linda (Vic) MacKenzie, Wentworth; Diane (Erroll) Tattrie; Wilma (Paul) Langille, Balmoral; sister, Louise Watson, Balmoral; half-sisters, Jessie (Kenneth) Patriquin, Tatamagouche; Phyllis Tattrie, Hamilton, Ont; half-brother, Arthur Tattrie, Hamilton, Ont; companion, Wilburn Douglas, Tatamagouche; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by husband, Raymond, and sons, Ross and Eldon.

Visitation will be today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in MacLeod's Funeral Home in River John. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 7, at 2 p.m. in Middleton Union Church, Rev. Mary Rowe officiating. Burial in Forest Hill Cemetery, Denmark.1

     Elden Charles Bezanson was also known as Eldon Charles Bezanson.3 He was born in 1954.1 His obituary says his mother was Ellen (Ingemansen) Bezanson, but his gravestone says his mother was Helen Maude Tattrie, and her obituary identifies him as her son. Elden Charles Bezanson died in 1979.1 He was buried in Forest Hills Cemetery, Denmark, Nova Scotia.1

ELDON CHARLES BEZANSON, 24, of Denmark, died Tuesday at home.

Born in Tatamagouche, he was the son of Raymond and Ellen (Ingemansen) Bezanson.

Surviving besides his parents are a daughter, Jolene; a brother, Don, Revelstoke, B.C; three sisters, Lynda (Mrs. Norman McKenzie), Lower Sackville; Dianne (Mrs. Errol Tattrie), Tatamagouche; Wilma, Truro; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ingemansen, Denmark; and a number of nieces and nephews.
