GEORGE FRANCIS CARDINAL, 78, of Mabelvale passed away Sep. 20, 2016. He was born Feb. 22, 1938 in Boston, Mass., to Walter Francis and Alta Wood Cardinal. George was a retired salesman from Coca-Cola. He loved to play pool, cribbage, cook, and collect coins. Most importantly of all George loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a man with a strong Christian faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Russell and Arthur Cardinal; and his sister Muriel Johnston.

He is survived by the love of his life Annette Rook Cardinal; his sons George Cardinal II and Stephen Cardinal (Sheila); his daughters Connie Dayer (Jack), Georgianna Oldham (Johnnie), and Suzanna Blackburn (Sean); one brother Alan Cardinal; one sister Norma Falzone; twenty one grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held, Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills with an inurnment to follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.3
